to do wwheelies go into 2nd gear and pull up the front tire a little if u feel that u are going to far feather the brake

well, on a mtb just go into gear 1 or 2 and be rolling along real slow....then pedal down v. hard and pull the handlebars up and keep pedaling! u will find ur own balance and hey presto! ur wheelying!!
