is there a classic book about the history of surgery that i can read, or a famous surgeon that writes about this topic

@xxmichoxx I dont know about a classic book, but one was released to accompany this series. I have a copy and it's well worth a read; it was written by Richard Hollingham and released by BBC Books. Hope that helps.
