i don't know weather it's the same with an oil filter gasket... but with a car and bike head gasket for the engine ( i'll explain because in your video you said you didn't know much about mechanics... the head is the top of your engine that completes the combustion chamber ) when you replace the gasket you remove the old gasket and sealant and put on gasket sealant and then the new gasket ( probably the gunk you removed )... you really dont want to scrape your gasket because any unevenness leaks
now that i was aware of...the sealant well....there is not supposed to be any according to the service manual....that resedue was melted gasket for sure...so i wanted to restore it to a clean state..so that the gasket would seal properly..as when new..thanks for the comment.
Re: torque wrench. How many clicks does yours require to indicate the proper setting? Sounds like you click several times...mine is 1 click. Be careful not to over-torque, its a real pita if you strip the threads in the engine case. Great vids! Ride safe!
not really. i do disassemble parts but not all, its a carb tuning video. and both uploads just failed over night so i'm re uploading them again. each one take over 3 hrs. i'm extremely angry lol
see? now this one was good, more stuff like this!... the stuff inside that hole is ur transmission. very cool indeed, nice how u got it lit up and got the camera in there. never even knew there was an oil screen. i actually enjoyed watching this. just a cleaning tip, carb cleaner or brake cleaner work really well against oil and grim. also helpful, get a torque wrench if u want to go that extra mile and have it tightened properly ;) i will subscribe if u put up another good video
how offend should i clean the oil screen and change the oil gasket?
