Made me wonder if the zombies were actually controlled by some super brain that manifested its brainwaves in all the zombies in the Zone as one being. Then again, it IS speculation only.

Stalker SoC zombies are stalkers, who have theyr brain "melted" by brain scorcher. Theyr minds are too messed up to be controlled, but monolith are.

Well, i have jusr recieved a sniper rifle, i got a weapon for the duty leader and he gave me a sniper rifle in return, after that all duty guys appeared as freinds =D

You can find the Vintorez (Vintar BC in the game) in a hangar at freedom's base, in the rear on the ground.

Technically, I think it's considered a "para-sniper" rifle because of its caliber (9x39mm) which is an assault rifle caliber. Heavy for an assault rifle round, but still considered "intermediate" compared to 7.62x54R which is a true "sniper rifle" caliber (also used in machine guns. Same is true for the NATO caliber 7.62x51mm (sniper rifles, machine guns).

It's a relatively new Russian caliber developed in the late '80s as a subsonic round with armor-piercing properties. It's heavy because it's big and slow because it's subsonic but packs a major punch because of the size and shape of the bullet.

Weaponology is indeed very interesting in modern times, I'm just honestly implying that there are just better places to discuss about weapons, like STALKER fansites, online discussion boards, etc.Comments under YT movies are not good place for that kind of discussion. And about everyone's favourite Vintar rifle in STALKER...I really, REALLY love the basic, early game Sawn-off dual barrel shotgun with dart ammunition, I love it's reload animation, it looks, shoots and sounds like real cannon :D

I've already discussed it on a STALKER fansite. XD The ZSG (Zone Survival Guide) forum to be precise. But why not YouTube to0? The more FPS fans get the word out about our desire for realistic weapons, the more likely the game industry will be to acknowledge that desire. Oh, and I've had terrible experiences with the sawed-off using slugs or darts. But I agree that the original Shadow of Chernobyl sawed-off (I call it the Mad Max gun) is great when loaded with buckshot. Very Old West type gun.

You can do that by modifying the config files. Isn't too hard. Search for «Stalker Unpacker» to unpack your .db0... files, there are a lot of tutorials in the web how to edit the config then. The weapon config file itself is more or less self-explaining.

That should be explained in a readme file in the mod. If you want to do it with the config file, search for «stalker modify weapons unpacker», there is a good tutorial at moddb dot com.

with out modding you can get scopes mountable and dismountable mostly in the wild terratory from mercs USSR scopes from some mercs in the beginning and NATO scopes at the construction yard near the end

you have to get as an entire weapon, there is one in the manhole stash in the main freedom base in military warehouses, (when the stash active it is in the south west part of the base)

you can only get the pda note that activates it from freedom stalkers so i killed as many as possible to find it.

you have a good chance of getting it on the lower difficulties but I decided that it makes it become too easy if you make it easy enough to get it, on this I think it is on easy since the zombies haven't noticed him yet
