guards are joke in the game, with my master level conjuring/restoration/destruct­ion/enchanting, i just use dual demora lords and let them take care of it,and all my armor restores my magica and if i really have to , i will use my shouts, like disarm,whirlwind to get out of there like i did with all the unkillable npc attacked me in college of winterhold after screwing up star of mara mission and started killing random ppl :) ..

An easier way is to go to the same place, pickpocket the same guy, except instead, taking some of your gold and placing it on him and then stealing it back. I got to 100 in maybe half an hour doing that. I would suggest placing about 400-500 gold on him and then stealing it back. Keep the rest of your gold inside the personal belongings chest, that way it doesn't take forever to put it back on him and steal it back. Thumbs this up so everyone can see!

As a heads up for others, got arrested, picked my way out, and with 100 sneak im literally infront of Sibbi robbing him blind and guards will stop infront of me, draw their swords, then walk away. Not a single one was killed, and my pickpocket has gone from 18-42 so far

Its not Patched, i just did it! You have to Get sent to jail Break out. (Not break in) Then talk to him if u break into jail he will say "You already been caught" And then to get your Stuff back you talk to a Guard Get resent to jail and sleep till your out. Worked for me - Xbox360

Ok, I accidentally ended up giving him my gold, and I've been leveling the pickpocket to get it back, but I only have 1/5 light fingers, night thief and the cutpurse perks. I'm lvl 54 so it's really hard to level, I don't want to leave lest I lose all my gold, which will suck. Loading past saves isnt optional. Suggestions?

go to any shop open up there weapon/armor meny

after this you scroll down to your name and RIGHT click your name when its highlighted and DRAG it into the weapons/armor meny to right. this way the game thinks your selling his stuffs and there for infinite ammount of cash (riverwood best since he gets 10k each 2nd day)
