Tina Cross was one of those talent show winning talents who my mother liked because she could actually sing, according to her standards. Well she wasn't wrong there.
Koo De Tah front girl Tina Cross sounds more like Cyndi Lauper a little bit, isn't she? Her vocals on her more prominent hit "Too Young For Promises" shows more like that banshee wailing, like this song too.
I couldn't stop listening to this track when I was 13-14. It was surprising and unfortunate it didn't get further. The 80's were a time for good music. Pity what's happened now.
Only the lead singer, Tina Cross, came from New Zealand. Leon Berger, (who formed the band in Sydney) was originally from Russia while the rest of the band were session musicians from around Sydney.

This is the most underrated Koo De Tah track, can't believe it only went to No 27 in Oz.

I KNOW! There were some nightmare tracks that went Top 10 in Australia in 1985 YET Body Talk didn't go Top 10!
It's an absolute travesty!
