@snarkey5 Yes, but players like Pogba, Morrison, Keane, and other United prospects do have huge futures. I don't know any City youth players. There's only one City produced player in their squad, and he's Micah Richards. He's not even that good.

@snarkey5 You don't need pace. You need a bility and stamina. Pogba, if you've seen him in the carling cup was fantastic. So was Fryers and Morrison. They're very talented and within a few years they should be breaking into the first team. I've seen them play many times and they are extremely promising.

@snarkey5 Just because you're slow doesn't mean you can't make it. Look at Michael Carrick. He's an amazing CM and he's terribly slow. Fabregas and Xavi are slow too. You don't need pace if you have the ability and these guys do.

@snarkey5 Carrick is an amazing CM. Many disagree simply because he's not entertaining, but he has a higher pass percentage than Xavi. He's fantastic. He plays right in front of the defence. Look at Wayne Rooney, he wasn't fast in his youth, but look at him now. He's the best striker in the world.

@StarWarsUpdates in the future your gonna need more to play at the highest level than to just be able to pick a pass quickly. the future footballer is yaya toure. players like carrick will be in league 2. rooney? rooney had pace as a youngster, plus rooneys a one off, liverpool seems to be able to produce one off's like gerrard. if i had my way and i was a football manager i'd get the quickest kids around, and then teach them football. nothing can stop pace.

@snarkey5 what about scholes, beckham (probably the slowest but still got 33 assists in a season 1999 the TREBLE season), zidane, xabi alonso, iniesta, xavi, berbatov still scores even though i havent ever seen the guy break a sweat. speeds great but its not everything.

@jellyz100 scholes different player, almost spanish. beckham? not having him, only a decent ball, horrible player tho, we're not in the 90's anymore where wingers can be all slow and shit like joe cole etc... slow skill and a cross. its 2012 now gotta be the complete package and pace is the key. the foreign players you mention england will never be able to produce these sorts of player as there is a grafters mentality in this country, nothing wrong with that, but at the highest level not enough.
