pretty much all the farve haters are the kids who only saw him play after he was past his prime...Green Bay just knows talent, had a Legend under centre for a shit ton of years, and now have another legend in the making
No one throws a prettier ball than he does. He makes his spin like Marino did. I think Marino threw the prettiest and most perfect pass ever and Rodgers passes look almost identical. And i'm not being a biased Packer fan either.
man . i remember watching that game .. and even then i wanted a-rod in over favre . sorry favre .. i'm 28 and saw you in your prime but by that game with the cowboys I wanted you gone
@MrNIBboy12 He must have smoked your team with 5 TD's or something. Hey,, even if my opposing team beats the packers, I at least know talent when I see it. Of course it only happened once in the last 25 games.. Yeah, Rodgers is a bitch.
Brett Favre should look up to Aaron Rodgers. Favre is still waiting for Ted Thompson to call him back to Green Bay. Ted has emailed copies of certain pix to Favre. Rodgers is waiting for his invite to Dancing With the Stars. Brett may come back on another team in 2011/12, he is now checking with Social Security on how his salary will affect his Medicare bennies. If Rodgers goes 16-0 this year, Brett will return to the NFL next year.
Still I love Favre, We shold not forget him, ...but the present football owned by Mr. Rodgers! :))) Stats of Aaron this year so far is unbelieveable, if he can move on like this, will break every single qb record!
Too much farve footage though, and the answers are yes(if you didn't know) Aaron Rodgers is a legend! Farve has nothing on Rodgers, we are in a superior quarterback generation. Superior in every way, except vicodin and cock pics, you fuckin traitor ego maniac! You'll spend history in Rodgers' shadow, Mr. Pevre.
@Toan342 Nice video, I think Favre is already a long forgotten memory for most Packer fans. I lost all respect for him when he publicly bashed Rodgers a couple weeks ago, saying "I am surprised it took him so long." He said that with all the talent on the team it should have happened sooner, taking all credit from Rodgers. Favre is just jealous because Rodgers will get many more rings than him, and he isn't a playoff choke artist like Favre was his entire career.
@Toan342 haha. i liked zapdoodo08's comment. some bad quality in some of these reels, but great job on it anyway. I really like your vid here, nonetheless, great job.
love this video. "can he replace a legend?", sure did even superbowl mvp, and "can he take his team to the playoffs?" sure did. love this video because the maker of this video made it in 2008! August might i add. Good job on the vid man!!! PRO STATUS. I choose you, than mel kiper!
Minnesota's last great QB = Fran Tarkenton, last played for in 1978, followed by Tommy Kramer
Detroit's last great QB = Bobby Layne, last played for in 1958, followed by a split between Tobin Rote and Earl Morrall
Chicago's last great QB = Sid Luckman, last played for in 1950, followed by Johny Lujack
Green Bay, Favre (1992-2007) back to back with Rodgers (2008-????), while GB had 4 guys start games from 1992-2010, these other teams had 59 different starting QB's
@tyman14cantrall I love brett but he was fun up until he threw all those interceptions. A rodg is deadly accurate and will take Greenbay to a level never before seen. 12 >4
If Favre played in New York, nobody would care. No disrespect to Green Bay, but Favre is overrated. G_d forbid Aaron has the same propensity for narcissism as well as a "hard on" for washing Vicodin down with Jack Daniels. But if he does NOT put himself first and if he does NOT use his SuperBowl ring to wave in front of desperate fans who live in a state where winning in sports is rare. He will eclipse all of Favre's records. I suspect Aaron has more class than Favre will ever have, I pray
my answer to this he can and he did now superbowl XLV champ. ppl dont even kno it but the packers started a knew vince lombardi era and there aint no taiming aaron rodgers. not even the mighty steelers were able to stop him there for there was a team even more mighter than them... the almighty packers!!!!
more Favre and more Rodgers how awesome it is to go from one legend to another. I feel truely blessed to be a Packer Fan. To all you Favre haters Kiss my Ass! He brought the Lombardi Trophy home 1st. Hope Rodgers keeps it here for a few years in a row.
Posted this video on my facebook page before every playoff game. Doesn't matter how much I watch this thing it pumps me up. Aaron Rodgers is an amazing player and person, noone deserves this more than that guy. I traveled all the way from South Dakota to watch the game at the Stadium View Bar in Green Bay. I cheered with the rest of them and partied in the streets. GO PACK GO! noone can EVER take this from us!
Aaron Rodgers, my role model! What a classy guy, never got caught up in the Favre drama, he just sat patiently for his time to come and worked his ass off. He told Ted Thompson he'd repay him for their loyalty and belief in him, pretty sure he did that!!!
Now u need to make a new video :-). And add more footage of him sitting there on draft day trying very hard to fake a smile because nobody was drafting him Then finish it off with him holding that superbowl MVP trophy :-). I'm a cowboy fan by the way. But this is an awesome football story :-)
Rodgers is from my home area... Our high school should have played his for three years straight in the Championship, but we always lost in the semifinals. He's from my hometown and plays on my favorite team. Great favorite QB now.
LEGEND is a word people throw around too much these days, but I will admit... the end of this video makes me smile knowing that the Packers are playing in the Super Bowl in less than 7 days. We have witnessed a phenomenon that has only happened once in the long history of the NFL (Montana/Young). Whether your a Rodgers fan or not, you have to admit...
@XxMlee065 Right on and darn right he's better than Favre at this point in every aspect of the game except two. Durability and how hard he can throw the ball, and I'm not positive on the latter. He already can't reach the durability record missing one game this season. But so what. Right now, I'd take AR over BF any day of the week. The man throws much better, runs better, and reads defenses better. He's a lot smarter, too. Learns from his mistakes.. something Favre doesn't do.
The only reason I care if Rodgers becomes a legend is how it impacts my team winning - stacking regular season wins into playoff position and playoff wins into advancement in the playoffs into championships. If Rodgers plays only three more years and gets a couple of Lombardis out of it he is worth more to me than Favre was. Favre building personal stats and treating the Packers as his semi-retirement hobby shop got old. I don't care what a guy does for personal glory, I wan't championships.
Favre was great for the Pack but only Holmgren seemed to have control of him..with the other coaches he seemed to adopt a "I know best" approach..Rodgers is much more disciplined and we were lucky to get him so low in the draft..I've always thought that if we had benched Favre in the 4th qtr of the 2007 championship game ,when he played like an old man, we would have won..
favre was a great qb with a lot of heart. rodgers is technically a better qb than favre with better feet and nearly as much heart. he's probably the scariest qb in the nfl right now.
I, myself, have been a Packers fan since I was 8. For those of you who ever doubted Rodgers what do you think now? He accomplished in only his 3rd season as a started what Favre failed to do after the '97 Super Bowl. If you're truly a fan then you'll at least give the guy a chance to prove himself. I see Rodgers doing how Steve Young did, if not better. And Young had a lot to prove to 49rs fans cause he replaced Montana remember?
@allhailcanada ypu yup he had to replace a four time super bowl champ(joe montania (as they call him in waterboy)) as opposed to favres one ring. I know hell will rain down on me for saying this but favre, a bit overated. Congrats on your perfect attendance record they should give you a lombardi troph for that.
@eddmns well i dont know if Favre is overrated, i just think that people lost a lot of respect for him cause of the whole retirement thing and sexting scandal. you cant deny that despite all that, Favre is still a legend.
And thank you, i wish they gave out Lombardi trophies for that haha
@MrAletcher winning it BRO, im A Ravens fan but this kid is a beast, he might not have the records that Favre have in the longrun but he will definitely win two or three superbowl rings, no doubt
Duhh , Aaron Rodgers can definately replace Brett Favre . Aaron Rodgers is the BEST QB in the NFL . Everyone always says how Brett Favre loved playing for the Packers but i think its pretty funny how he wanted to go out playing for a different team . Im not trying to talk bad about Brett Favre , honestly . Aaron Rodgers isnt as good as Brett Favre YET ! But he's just beginning . Go Aaron Rodgers !!!!
I get goosebumps watching this knowing that the guy watching favre blow this 2007 nfc championship game said to himself, " when I get my shot im gonna go all the way " . And now he's taking our beloved team to the SUPERBOWL!!!!
Aaron Rodgers is a heck of a player. He is always on beastmode.

@drbayoms yeah i dont think Rodgers is like that. he's actually one of the most humble players ive ever seen durin interviews
