can anyone help me figure out how to setup the hard drive once they are phisically installed? how do i get it to have the OS run off the ssd and not the original drive?

Ok people you must (as he does, I'm not sure how people don't see this) put the SSD where the original HD goes and put the HDD where the super drive went, the superdrive SATA cables do not handle 3Gb/s transfer like the cables where the HDD slot originally sits. So if you did this and put your SSD int he SuperDrive bay you are not going to be getting optimal performance at all.

One interesting thing I saw though is how his unibody bottom comes apart differently than normal...

Dude, a good advice: Before you mount your multibay caddy remove all those greasy finga tips because greas get hotter than water/air/etc.

he has a normal german keyboard and yours probaply an us keyboard. one difference between these is the enter button.
