  • Anyone interested in ALL/Descendents bootleg trade? PM me.

  • I heard some Descendents on a classic rock radio station last year. somewhere in Arizona.

  • @VIC4SALE Really??? Which one?

  • simply amazing....i still listen to 'em after nearly 25 years. Classic American Music.

  • Who's going to pick you up and use you for tonight?

  • Descendents = one of the best fucking bands ever

  • DETROIT!

  • im pretty sure no one asked where it started ... hister333...

  • best band of all time, they were the first band I listened to and after 10 years I still listen to them today without getting tired of it, these 2 songs are awesome too

  • greatest band ever

  • EPIC

  • sick

  • jajajajaja k

  • Great songs either way.

  • Milo rocks

  • Tender Fury were horrible but had an all star cast including Jack and Todd (R.I.P.) from T.S.O.L, Randy from Pennywise, Hunt Sales from Tin Machine, and Josh Freese from....every band on earth!! No matter how bad a band Jack is in it's still fun as hell to watch. One of the best front men ever!!

  • bikeage<333

  • Tender fury?!?!??! they sucked!!

  • dont forget the adolescents, chemical people...agent orange tsol so cal punk!!!!

  • DECENDENTS RULE! Pay attention kids Punk Rock Started in So. Bay, California(home of Ascott Speedway). No bands since with the exception of Sublime,Tender Fury and NOFX hold a candle to or paid dues like the Decendents! They played the real Pike in LBC @it's filthiest, scummiest, best point; threw down with bikers and kept jamming. Unless you lived in a van in front of your parents house with nothing but a guitar extension cord and fishing pole you aint punk. PUNK! Frank is cool!

  • I'm not sure if the NY bands that were playing punk in the early 70's were aware that the music they were playing didn't actually exist until 5 to 10 years later, or the Detroit/Cleveland bands for that matter....

  • FRANK IS COOL! i never lived in a van in front of my parents' house, and i never claimed to be punk. but--I LOVE PUNK!!! i grew up in the '80s, so i know that the descendents were no longer when milo left in '87. no matter! "sour grapes" and "wendy" are my favorite descendents songs ever!

  • no im pretty sure it started in NY.

  • Are you talking about Punk? It started in Seattle in the early '60s. The SONICS, the WAILERS, and Paul Revere and the Raiders played there plenty.

  • it was NY in America and London in Uk. Sex Pistols and The Damned the first 2 punk bands in the UK

  • badassness

  • This goes out to that comic girl SOUR GRAPES

  • yup, one of my favs back in the day....simple yet effective.

  • Yeah, Colorado is so West Coast!!! This is Midwest Punk!!!

  • no...Descendents came from Southern California. A small South Bay town called Lawndale, Ca. This is south bay punk rock at its best.

If you grew up in and around the l.a county, you know the bands that came from the area.

  • everytime i listen to bikeage i understand how useless were blink 182

  • intense :)

  • one of my all time favourite bands.

  • most underrated band

  • @joelizard33 how exactly are they underrated?

  • Killer! Saw them a few times in the mid 80s. They were one of my favorite bands back then. These songs still rock. Thanks for posting.

  • BIKEAGE! FUCKING LOVE IT!

  • Hey Stevenson those new strings sound like shit...sorry no media...what a fuckin answer

  • nice i had liveage on repeat for a long while...

  • There's not one Descendents song I don't love. My band is playing in an all cover show, and we're gonna do the Descendents! Woo!

  • whoa, good luck, these songs are HARD to cover

  • haha especially when your lazy and wait til the day of the show to learn them. which is what we did. and it sucked.

  • Doh.

  • you have the order wrong as so many have mentioned...the descendents look so amazing live, i was born in the wrong decade...fucking gay 90s.

  • bikeage/sourgrapes

  • relax your body too...

  • two of the best descendents songs!

  • Ahh... now here is some music right here..

  • classic stuff!! timeless!!

  • amazing

  • bikeage/sour grapes.

  • Thank you for posting this!

  • FEEEDING MYYYYY RAAAAAAAAGE!!!

  • Whatever you try to classify this band as, the main point is that they rocked and they were ALL about having a good time ALL the time. What else matters?

  • Nothing....

  • my all time favorite band

  • I never saw them have a bad show! This just proves it.

  • I dunno, they played a show I was at in Calgary 1988 or something. Never A Dull Moment (Local Band) played as well. I was too drunk and stoned to remember much but... well i cant remember. Oh and if Dave Orr or Scruffy or Trent Buhler see this... FUCK YOU

  • surf punk..

  • Way better than any of the covers that have circulated through the years! Descendants are the shit!

  • One of several 80s college "smart punk" bands. Besides Descendents and Angry Samoans and Bad Religion. Damn thanks for this vid. Havent seen this clip before.

  • nothing compares to thier HC attitude!

  • yeah!

  • look at those fags in the front ahhhahah i love when they crowd up like that so i can come in swinging on those kooks ahahah

  • Thank fuck i found one of my all time favorites on you tube. anyone out there remember the Hard-ons from Ausrtalia? great times! 87

  • the first song is bikeage, not sour grapes.

  • I listened to Milo goes to colleg everyday in highschool, on the way to school, skating, soccer practice: it didn't matter. If you were fortunate to see them live you experienced a great little secret in the 80's.

  • Milo sure does rock for a research chemist....see kids get a PhD and sing for a kick ass band that's what life is all about

  • is this guy serious?? WTF are u comparing them to blink and sum??? And who are you to say they aren't hardcore? They definately had elements of hardcore from beginning to end. I'd say your an ass clown wannabe know it all youtube douche. I wish I could reach into this comptuter and smack the living shit out of you, five fingers to the face bitch.

  • They're totally pop-punk these days... I can't even listen to the new crap in spite of them making one of my favorite hardcore albums ever (Milo goes to college). And while they were definitely a hardcore band, how many other hardcore bands were as influential on the new pop-punk bands? (Maybe Bad Religion) I can see how you could draw a line between the Descendents and blink 182 or whatever.

  • Dude, they always were punk, and yes, they deserve credit for fathering "pop-punk." Hardcore NEVER WAS their M.O.

  • Well, I take that back. That's an interesting question, whether they could be classified as "hardcore" proper at any point. I am going to look into that. I never thought of them as HC, just really solid punk (remember, not all HC=good and punk does not=bad, they're just different genre's)

  • Take the skinheads bowling at the beginning?

  • As Hardcore as they get. Just because they are melodic does not make them Pop Punk. Remember that their drummer is none other than Bill Stevenson of Black Flag fame.

  • The Descendents were considered Hardcore, they were part of the West Coast movement back in the 80's...

  • My favorite band... I remember growing up thinking "My favorite band is pop-punk, I'm a nerd." Then the 90s came around and made the Descendents look raw in comparison. But I digress... The Descendents are All.

  • Fuck yeah! Old school hardcore from back in the day makes me smile. This brings me back.

  • Yeah, I think would agree on calling them punk-pop now, but back in the day we called it hardcore. Faster than the punk that proceeded it.

  • live footage of the descendents is like gold son. I was to young to appreciate these guys in their prime so I needs as many of live videos as I can get.

  • milo goes to college is a seminal hardcore record.

  • Brilliant! Thanks for posting.

  • thanks for posting this!descendents videos are so rare!

  • vids like this make me fill with a mixture of joy and rage! why wont they tour!

  • AWESOME VID! i've never seen them live....thanks for posting this!!!

  • Probably THE most underrated hardcore band out there.
