Dragon Age 2 basically forces you to be gay if you're playing as a male. I'm in Act 2 i guess and I've had around 10 options to flirt with males(five of which being with Anders lol) but only 3 to flirt with females. WTF????? I'm playing as a male character and would like some female romance.

the Origin's companions were incredible, some of the most memorable characters i've seen in games. the DA 2 companions just can't compare to them, which is disappointing considering mass effect 2 was able to make new characters everyone liked

It was obviously rushed, which is really disappointing. Legacy DLC was actually pretty good, but they could done without the one just to have Felicia Day.Nexus mods fixed a lot of these issues though. Hi-res pack was out way before Bioware's release.
I agree with joe. I have the first dragon age on pc and it was amazing. The strategic, open world, great story that every rpg should be. But the 2nd dragon age felt so dumbed down. Game seemed easier than the first to me also. I also like the blunt combat first one had. Not the flashy combat this one offers.

I think the game overdid the silly humor. Also, the qunari storyline was brilliant but underdeveloped. The Mage vs templar story was so repetitive they could have just had the one "shocking" event at the end.
@MrMcDittles it's two different teams working on the different series'. When Mass Effect started doing well they put ALL their better employees on the mass effect team.

@tdjorda1 Yep, pc-only. It was made 2002 by really cool masters of their discipline. The native language is german and is highly recommend to play in its native language if you understand it, but there is an english-version aswell, I hope it is ok. This game stands out with a sophisticated npc-network, an original humor and an authentic simulation of a tough world. This a game you should have enjoyed before you die. I recommend the more refined version: Gothic2 - Night of the Raven

At least there was a debate between Mass Effect 1 and 2 which one is better or not. With Dragon Age II, however, just about everyone says the first Dragon Age is better than the first.

Dragon Age 2 isn't as big as Dragon Age Origins but I do not think its a bad thing, I guess some people did not like the first one because it started very slowly. Dragon Age 2 just changed the speed of the game so its more exciting, and to me I like the the spells of all the classes of Dragon Age 2 more then the first game.
I pretty much agree with this review. Something that DA2 did was basically killing off one of your siblings depending on which class you choose. It felt like the game actually punished me for playing as a mage since the game then decided to kill off your sister, who is actually the more interesting character wise of the two. That is just a pet peeve of mine.
My opinion is that the dragon age 2 was better then dragin age origins. The combat an the new leveling up tree an talents was amazing. The storyline isnt supposed to be like saving the world like in origins it was to intoduce u to hawke and his life and how he became a stud. @FlyingPaladin617 Are you fucking kidding me? Unless you're talking about the original Witcher, which was actually just mediocre, Witcher 2 on the other hand is amazing. Dragon Age 2 is terrible in almost every possible way. The combat has nearly no strategy at all, just mash one button for five minutes to kill every single enemy. The story's horrible, the characters have no original traits, the NPCs are just window dressing, it just sucks horribly.

@lampsequoia I simply liked the sequel more, mostly because of the improved combat. If Origins had the combat of Dragon Age II I'd enjoying playing it a lot more. But combat isn't the only reason why I prefer DA II over Origins. The graphics and conversations are also better in DA II.

@tdjorda1 Yep, pc-only. It was made 2002 by really cool masters of their discipline. The native language is german and is highly recommend to play in its native language if you understand it, but there is an english-version aswell, I hope it is ok. This game stands out with a sophisticated npc-network, an original humor and an authentic simulation of a tough world. This a game you should have enjoyed before you die. I recommend the more refined version: Gothic2 - Night of the Raven

This game is shit. A shameless money grab. Story is bad. Combat is repetitive. City doesn't change. Your choices don't mater AT ALL. Ending is not a cliffhanger it's just pure old "it's not the end" bullshit that tries to hard to be misterious with bunch of plot holes.

Dragon Age 2 isn't as big as Dragon Age Origins but I do not think its a bad thing, I guess some people did not like the first one because it started very slowly. Dragon Age 2 just changed the speed of the game so its more exciting, and to me I like the the spells of all the classes of Dragon Age 2 more then the first game.

I pretty much agree with this review. Something that DA2 did was basically killing off one of your siblings depending on which class you choose. It felt like the game actually punished me for playing as a mage since the game then decided to kill off your sister, who is actually the more interesting character wise of the two. That is just a pet peeve of mine.

My opinion is that the dragon age 2 was better then dragin age origins. The combat an the new leveling up tree an talents was amazing. The storyline isnt supposed to be like saving the world like in origins it was to intoduce u to hawke and his life and how he became a stud. I thought the characters were much better in this one but alistar from origins was by far the best character from both games. I thought all the quests in this one were alot more entertaing then in origins. Hands down dragon
