  • El de la guitarra es Ramón Stagnaro verdad??

The man who play the Guitar is Ramon Stagnaro???

  • This music will live on forever. Herb Alpert has brought so much joy to millions.

  • MAESTROS!

  • Can anybody let me know what are the names to the songs on this medley?? Thanks a lot x)

  • @drummers1991 1) The Lonely Bull 2) Whipped Cream 3) Spanish Flea 4) Work Song 5)Tijuana Taxi 6) A Taste Of Honey, if memory serves right.

  • As a kid, I remember we had a stereo reel to reel tape deck, and my parents bought a Herb Albert tape. I think that's where I got my love of syncopation, percussion, and Latin rhythms! I wore that tape out....

  • this is incredible! does anyone know where i could get the music for this song?

  • Maybe if he gave the instructions in German he'd have gotten a better response. Ya figure?

  • For me the sexiest man alive.

  • OOOWWW!!! My older brother Ruben had all the albums and I heard them all. Such awesome music helped me compose my own instrumentals. Never forget where you came from broskis!

  • It has been said that one of Herb's best talents is in his arrangements and this proves it. He put a more modern rhythm section behind the very "60's Pop" sounds of old TJB hits - and it works! Pretty cool combination.

  • I lost my legs at 4:53

  • This is "EVERGREEN" Never will die or fade away, it is forever

    Yusuf

  • GRATE

Ah such sweet mems.

  • What are the hooks extending from the trumpets?

  • @tropicallanterns

    They're microphones.

  • @Hairnicks oh wow, I kind of feel stupid now lol. To be honest, that's what I wondered at first, but I didn't see any cords on them, and I guess that's why I didn't think they were microphones. Anyway, thanks for clearing it up =)

  • @tropicallanterns They are microphones.

  • @racanatior "The Lonely Bull (El Solo Toro)"

  • @racanatior

    The Lonely Bull

  • The Lonely Bull

  • great medley- enjoyed hearing Herb again...

  • Really great medley of TJB hits! I do wish they'd have included a real marimba, instead of the faux marimba keyboard. Maybe it's hard to keep in tune or hard to tour with?

  • Thanks :)

  • Excellent!

  • Excelent!

  • what's the name of the album with this song?

  • @lukas4 The Lonely Bull LP.

  • i had forgotten about Herb Alpert, until I heard his name mentioned today. I immediately googled his name - found him alive and healthy on youtube.com ... what memories!!! My aunt introduced him to our household in the '60's, and had a steady stream of Herb Alpert music in our house. I think she bought most of his albums. What a joy to relive all those classic tunes on youtube.com!!

  • I saw Herb Alpert and Lani Hall in Philadelphia in the spring and I agree - what a show. In an intimate setting it was one of the best I've ever seen and playing their CD is just the best. I loved Herb Alpert and the TJB from when I was a young kid and my dad bought the Tijuana Taxi "album." What wonderful humanitarians and keepers of the arts.

  • Es un músico extraordinario a mi madre le gustaba y tenía un disco 33 rev. unLP que se tocaba muy a menudo en mi casa, hasta que mi madre se marcho al cielo para escuchar mejor esta música.

  • LOVE THIS!!!! I would love to see Herb Alpert in concert, thanks so much for posting this!!!

  • My wife and I saw Herb and Lani January 2010 in Seattle. What a show! They were awesome. He really interacted well with the audience....taking questions and telling stories. Go see him if you get the chance.

  • Lonely Bull sounds even much much better ... it NEVER ages! HERB's music LIVES on and will LIVE ON!!

  • inpresionante !!! muuuy bueno !!! y profesional !

  • I love Herb Albert ...the music brings back great memories!!!

  • Man he has gotten better with age. Like a good whiskey.

  • Esta si es musica, ahora ya no se encuentran estos tipos de músicos, siempre ha sido miidolo.

  • Herb Alpert, wow, excelent in this time, and herb loves latinoamerica, i know.

  • In 1962, when herb recorded "The lonely bull" , he was 28 y.o....76 years old now...

  • You haveto know how to distiguish real music and musicians to appreciate this! This is AWESOME

  • Herb, Sir Paul and Gary Moore are the only people I have left to see in concert. They never come to Portland and I would love to see Herb and the TB. My older brother had all the albums and I remember "Going Places," "Lonely Bullfighter," "Taste of Honey," "SRO" and the live ABC special album, I think something like "Talk to the animals," but I remember watching it. So awesome and so ultra cool. Herb rocks my world!!!

  • I like how he slipped in that smooth little deviation that was part of another style he played later. What a pulse of the 60's he was. Of course records are coming back, and a little known fact is that in any thrift store across the U.S. you can find a Herb Alpert record. Put it on if you are in a down mood and you will certainly be uplifted. No bologna, no cheese!

  • Impossível não gostar, até um surdo gostaria só pela movimentação animada no palco.

  • My wife and I traveled from NJ to Seattle to see Herb and Lani play at the Jazz Alley. What a great show. The man and his lady still have it. Check them out if you get a chance. Love the "crackers in bed" comment. I am stealing that one for future use.

  • Herb is still a hunk. He could eat crackers in my bed anytime.lol

  • Awesome!

    xoxo

    The Clarences

  • truly awesome =D

  • No idea why, but this reminds me when a few friends and I were forced into playing a classical music festival by my sister, who hosted the fest. We became "The Generic Beatles Tribute Band". We had one guy on guitar the entire time, the bassist/accordion/pianist, and me on marimba/snare/floor tom/shouting.

    We played two shows.

  • Herb did not fancy having the sex pistols on his label,

Thats what Archangel Gabriels Trumpet must sound like.....................

  • the best herb albert

  • Wasn't he or isn't Herb president and CEO of A&M records?

  • Yes, he was! Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss founded A&M Records, which became one of the worlds leading independently owned record labels.

  • Yes he is the A in it, though he has a new company now
