Thank you for your comment, I have been listening to R&B and Soul for about 28 years and just found out about this record two years ago ;o) great record by a great musician.

As a middle-class white kid growing up in So.Cal. and listening to "soul music",

this was a favorite of mine. Yet, have never heard it only any of the blues or "R&B" shows since then. This is a much better cover of a Johnny Cash song, then Johnny and June's covers of folk songs during a very sad period in their recording life. (You want a good laugh sometime, listen to them torture, "It Ain't Me, Babe". Bloody awful!)
