to rbflint: Grimethorpe was playing "Masquerade" as their own test piece. It is the last item on disc one. btw, the promo does not show the fantastic performances of the Belgian Brass and the interesting performance of the Cozy Brass Quartet performing on period instruments of the 1870s.
Amazon has Bluray DVD players that will play PAL as well as NTSC. I purchased an Element Electronics Bluray that plays PAL and NTSC from Office Depot. I recently up loaded/down loaded (?) an upgrade that made a remarkable difference in sound. The World of Brass DVDs have exceptional sound staging through my Polk 32ri (s) and beautiful visuals of the bands on my 720P 37" Sharp
flat screen. I've also seen their DVDs on a 9' x 16' screen and the visuals were stunning even at upgraded std. res.
Not to be bragging, but the Black Dyke Band would of won. I really also like the Willebroek Brass Band. Listen to the song Music of the Spheres from them.
From :52 to 1:04 defeats the purpose of brass. Also, can anyone tell me if the Black Dyke Band was in this contest. And can anyone tell me what song Grimethorpe Colliery Band is playing?
I kinda want to be the one douche bag to dislike this video...

Ok, i will look into buying the cd's. How would i know if i have a multi-region dvd player?
rbflint 2 years ago
Ask the shop from where you bought it?

I may or may not have a multi-region dvd player. What about the CD's?
rbflint 2 years ago
CDs are not 'regioned' so should work on any CD player in the world.

I live in the USA, and how do I get those CD's or DVD's? Someone told me I need a special DVD player. Not ones that are sold in the USA.
rbflint 2 years ago
Our products are available from our website, our username should give you a clue! Our DVDs should work if you have a multi-region player.

It is very possible. Plus I have to hear what the Cory Band played through out the contest. I wish I could get a CD of this contest.

There is a Double CD of highlights as well as the Double DVD. The track lists, while having some common to both, are different.

They would have had to have been pretty amazing to beat Cory Band on this occasion.
