  • I first saw this on ITV when staying at my grandparents house on a boring rainy weekend. I was about 7 or 8 years old then, and quite frankly I thought it was fucking quality. I've grown up to become a self-confessed snob of crap movies like this, but Biggles will always be a guilty pleasure of mine!

  • LOVE this film, classic cheesy-but-fun 80s film! Tho one gripe...Sten guns in WW1??? Gotta get this on dvd

  • same i mean i havent seen the first one yet =P

  • who ?

  • Peter Cushing was the best british actor ever

  • @92af I agree with you, fully.

  • Is this the official trailer? This has to be the worst editing I've ever seen!

  • Well I wish they remade it but make so it's based on the books not on the producers imagination but BIGGLES HAS TO BE BRITISH same with algy and Ginger

  • @pinkpanther5782 I wish they'ed of made a sequel!

  • Last film that I saw at our old cinema before they pulled it down. Can't help wondering if this film inspired the TV series "Quantum Leap".

  • i want a remake with zac efron and martin landau !!

  • Where did you come from? I HAVE NOO IDEA!

  • lol Nice, i can't believe I've never heard of this before as well! B-movie version of Back to the Future with Peter Cushing in!! 'One step, back in time'...that song was growing on me as well.

  • I can' believe I've never heard of this movie.

  • Havn't flown a while myself . We are all good here though.

  • Im going to upload this movie on this channel :)

  • classic! comes to show the 80s rockd,

  • I LOVED this movie and would watch it every time it was on. Great stuff!!

  • If you can fly a Sopwith Camel old boy - you can fly anything.

  • i still got this on VHS omg!

  • Haven't seen since 1989 (age 8)

  • Havnt Seen This film since i was 4 or 5

    Really wana see it again.

  • havent seen this since I was about 6!

  • Havent seen this movie for over 13 years or so. Would be nice to see again, it was not that bad as IMDB says as I recall.

  • just watched it on dvd yesterday after way to many years, this movie is so much fun, perfect eighties! an absolute must see, if you love the wicked stuff!:)

  • Never heard of this! Looks cool!

  • it is! ive seen it.

  • I remeber this one movie it was a great disappointment if you read the Biggles books growing up. But it's worth a few laughs.

I did like the soundtrack though... back in the 80s that is. :)

  • thats a fair point, machine guns in 1917 we large cumbersome things, definatly not handheld!...loved this movie as a kid though!

  • That's true. I just re watched it, and loved every minute.

  • ahh the old ones are the best...i saw a movie an anime movie in the 80's called "masters of time" or "les Maitres du temps" a french film dubbe in english about a boy called Piel....EVERYONE whos seen it wants a copy of the english dub...and i got it..its rarer than batmans shit!

  • Why does Biggles have a Sten submachine gun which was invented in world war 2?

  • I don't think historical accuracy was a major consideration when they made this film :o)

  • He travels all throughout time...

  • @fakweet It's a Bergmann MP18, which was designed during WW1 and hit production in late 1917 / early 1918, around the time the WW1 parts of this film are set. :)

  • @SPeacock Thats really interesting. I didn't know submachine guys were around in WW1. Did the allies have an equivalent to the mp 18? I wonder if the Germans had developed sub machine guns earlier if it would have affected the outcome of the war?

  • @fakweet As far as I know, the Allies didn't have an SMG equivalent to the MP18. They had a SAW called the Lewis Gun (much like the M249 and M60 machine guns of today).

  • That looks like krapp. I want a biggles movie that just STAYS in 1917!!

  • AceTheSalmon. I agree. Too much modernistic 'must change it' attitude

What next, Oliver twist meets Terminator ?

H G Wells War of the Worlds was the same.

  • to be honest for what it's worth it's an OK film.

  • The film isnt too bad, I mean its nothing great but its worth watching to see the bi-planes and the dialouge

  • Nice idea about sequel! Of course all actors should be the same.

  • I loved this film when i was younger i always hoped there would be a sequel. thanks for posting
