  • mark kendall one of the best guitarist to ever play in a hair band, his style is remarkable & he has a great understanding of the blues chords.

  • michael lardie what a composer of great songs & writer of most of the bands material.

  • que tal composicion . !!!!

esa es una de mis preferidas del GRAN BLANCO!!!

  • this song is so beautiful

  • Love it!!!!!

  • Saw one of their last shows with Jack Russell singing with Dokken. Awesome show!!!

  • Was very lucky to see this band in concert with Whitesnake!! That was an awesome time =]

  • @flutterbyu2 ME TOO! I saw them in august 1988 - GW was on the 'Bite Back Tour' - middletown, ny

  • This and Heaven by Warrant are the only hair band power ballads that have stayed with me all these years later. I'm a true metal head, but this always reached me.

  • .... I found this song after a few of years, in that time i was able to dream.... Now on 37' dreams are a little than this dirty reality....

  • Jack Russell has such a beautiful voice..met them many times when they used to play at the Birch Hill in NJ. I love Great White and I miss the eighties like crazy...good music, good times.

  • When I was a young girl my dad and I would always go to my mothers Rx 7 and listen to this song. I absolutely loved it and called it my angel song. Well not so long after that my parents divorced and my dad stopped talking to me... You never know how much a song can mean to someone:(

  • @XSkittlezDinosaurX I would never do that too my daughters but sometimes divorce hurts too much and we punish the ones we love for no reason. Reach out to him dont wait too long.....

  • it was about 1985 or so, saw great white and whitesnake at the notre dame acc. life was good that night!

  • @TheTruthseeker59 that may have been '87-88. they toured together when whitesnake started headling the u.s., following their opening stint with motley crue in '87.

unfortunately, we don't get to see many great tours like that now.

  • i have to admit, this is my favorite power ballad ever. beautiful song. cant believe it only peaked at number 30 in 1989.

  • This and Save your love are very similar

  • I partied with them on their tour with Night Ranger. The drummer stole my necklace off of me.. Audie.... lol.. Got Michael's autograph and also met a great love who had brought me to their 'motel and bus get together', 1987 was the year....

  • Una banda de culto que no me canso de escuchar.......que pena............un saludo desde Chile

  • This is the song that introduced Great White to me and I have been a huge fan ecer since. They are a great band, their live shows rock, their music has actual substance. They got sort of ripped off - they should have been a lot bigger than what they were. When you talk about Great White, most morons think they were a 1 hit wonder w/Once Bitten - far from the truth. My faves are this song, House of Broken Love and Old Rose Motel. I really miss them.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG.. WHY CAN'T THESE BANDS COME BACK AND BE BIG LIKE THEY WERE IN THE 80'S? THAT WOULD BE AWESOME.

  • @NIKKI42303 Tell me about it! I've been aching for the late-80s recently. Wish I could head right into a time machine and stick myself back there for a while.

  • peace 4 love

  • best era of music great song! Great white :p

  • OMG ..awsome

  • Jack Russell is the king !!!!

  • love this shit my friends

  • for this concert, it was lighters flooding the crowd , not retarded cell phones. The eighties was the real thing.

  • Wonderful song! I love it!

  • these guys rock i grew up with this band

  • I was in a coma for over 2 weeks... my husband had a loop of this song made and it was played for me. The first time it was played they say I had tears for the first time and was awake within hours. Now that's good music for you. Thank you to my husband and of course to Great White : )

  • 29 people don't understand nothing about music

  • Love this song now and I loved it when I was little....so glad my kids like the Hair Nation and not the emo grunge crap that is out now

  • 35 and rocking with old schoolers.

  • This gave me goosebumps that whole way through. Beautiful!!

  • 32 and these songs is what keeps me alive

  • This band, the members, their songs, has and forever will touch my mind, my soul, my heart, so many times in life, it seems as though Greatwhite has written the sound track to many pivotal moments in my life, it was great seeing greatwhite this summer makes over two dozen times, each one better than the last....

  • i love this music, would listen to it than radio, 33 and still rocking

  • I love this song Great White was great Jack hope you get well. i saw where Jack fell on stage very very sad God Bless you Jack we all love you.

  • GW hit #30 in Billboard, 12-2-89. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great weekend!

  • a lot of the '80's hair bands' really rocked. This was sure one of 'em. And since it seems people responding oin here are giving their age, I'm 39.

  • Just saw these guys this summer, they rocked it!

  • 33 still listening and damn proud.

  • 41 and still listening. Have only heard one or two bands in the last 20yrs that could hope to compare to the bands of the 80's. As they say "Often immitated, but never duplicated"

  • When I was in the Navy, I was on Treasure Island, San Francisco Bay, I used to sit on the rocks outlining the island writing in my journal listening to Great White. They were very instrumental in my career and life..I love this band. I saw them in Chicago with White Snake! Awesome! This song brings tears to my eyes.

  • man, that ripped right through me, even after all these years, and all these supposes bad ass bands (all screaming and arppegiating noe)... I want good music by goo d people back, is it possible>??

  • forever and holding :)

  • the song, the band and the video, are great great GREAT WHITE...thanks

  • im 34 and still need to feed

    my soul with these guys

  • somedays i do just want to fly away

  • I  this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful

  • great band. brings back awesome memories. the best music era!!! hands down....

  • this is music

not the shit they play today

  • Mark Kendall always loooks so laid back. I don't know if he is just that into the music or has just burned a big dube!!!! Probably a little of both lol!!!! Great fucking song!!!

  • The 80ies? Hahaha, fuck 'em. Songs like this are responsible for the fact that nowadays people laugh at them, hahaha. Long hair, whining vocals and blond chicks in line ... uuuuhhh ... ahhhhhh ... Make your homework, dudes, and listen to things like "Baby, baby, baby", "Nice boys don't play Rock'n'Roll" or "Envoyé". Only THEN will you know that there was more to 80ies than ridiculous hair metal.

  • @inspiralroses You probably listen to Nirvana and those crappy 3-string Grunge bands that killed good music.

And of course there's more to the 80's. There's Soft Rock, New Wave, Thrash, Easy Listening, and your standard rock affair. What's your point?

  • @shelivade91 No way, you're wrong, as far as I'm concerned, Nashville Pussy, the Spaceshits, the Sisters of Mercy, Young Gods, Stone Temple Pilots, Midlake, Cold War Kids and Stone Roses are no crap and no standard thing. So go back to start and ask yourself what is important in music. BTW, I don't diss GW, I diss the song which is crap!!! That's my point!

  • @inspiralroses I don't need to ask myself shit. Glam Metal most certainly has its place in time and it would have lasted into this new century if it wasn't for those trope talentless Grunge acts like Stone Temple Pilots and The Melvins. Fuck em', this is a great song.

  • im 50 and a metal head i dug this song thanx froman you rokkkkkkkk

  • im 50 and a metal head i dug this song

  • aga bu benim grup.! Jack sen gibisi yok..harika

  • I sat on stage with these awesome pirates. I wore my snakeskins and they ruled the night. Okc, Okla. 10-13 yrs ago? They do Zeppelin better than Zeppelin! This song is so for me!

  • Great White Rocks !! Bands of today do not write music as good as this !! Long live 80s Rock / Metal !!

  • love this music i miss the 80s there was music back than not half this crap that is out there now! i saw great white live and they were very good they were a very under rated band.

  • I miss this era

  • Abe Froman??? The sausage king of Chicago???

  • @bigbuford ha!.... great!

  • Thanks so much for adding this song. Nobody ever adds this song. ;)

  • Is it possible if anyone could make a piano tutorial on this? So wanna learn this man..

  • infaltable en la coleccion de los conocedores

  • Rock ballads don't get any better than this....raw heartfelt emotion... incredible melody.. awesome keyboards...great riffs...We really miss Jack Russell..get well soon Jack!!

  • Rock ballads don't get any better than this....raw heartfelt emotion... incredible melody.. awesome keyboards...great riffs...We really miss Jack Russell..get well soon Jack!!

  • EPIC One of my favorite songs ever!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! THE PIANO IS WHAT MOVES MY SOUL IN THIS!!!!

  • @SandraKaye17 Easily the most underutilized instrument in rock & roll. And I agree; it moves the soul :)

  • Pleasantly disturbing....

  • Thanks!

  • 26 satanics hate this song

  • very emotional song and crimson glory has copied it in their song for angels!

  • @princesssfreida HAHA ROCK N ROLL!!! but seriously? Move on, it wasn't even their fault.

  • That chick they use is so damn hot.

  • I am a child ofthe eighties. My first concert was Great White and Whitesnake! Miss those days!

  • i have this song on my e71 mobile

  • 24 people have no soul....

  • Gee...this song was popular when I was in the 9th grade..back in 1987 alongtime ago!!

  • jk

  • This was such an amazing song to bang a chick in the backseat to.

  • such a lovely ballad....remains in my heart forever !

  • epic

  • back in those days, those awesome long hairs and retro outfits are what i call life

  • This really takes me back. This song has so much truth to it. The scum of the earth lived in Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley ruining the lives of so many young women. Fuck pornography and drugs and what it does to the soul of human beings.

  • Gawd, that blonde walking on the streets in this video is 44 years old now. Faawk time flies by.

  • This and Save Your Love by Great White are 2 of the best ballads of all time. Great song!

  • @chasedbyamaynard and House of Broken Love

  • wow i watch this song again.. Thanks for posting this !!!!!!!

  • i love this song

  • How can there be 24 dislikes ffs.

  • i loved this song kickass ballad

  • I'm 36 and grew up in the best era of music.....I'm crave real talent. Today artist are shit!

  • @bones080 cant say the 80s was the prime :)....im 39 ..but ...if was in the 20s 68-75 would be neat ;D

  • im 38 and still listening

  • @7319amd I'm 36 and still listening also. Cheers!

  • @seanlets 43 and still listening...these were the BEST fuckin' days ever!

  • @bones080 dude you speak out of my heart!

  • reminds me of sunset Blvd, circa 1988 , great times

  • great great song what else can I say!!!

  • i cant believe i havent heard this song.i loved the 80s,i missed out out on this 1,

  • Close your eyes, feel what the artist is feeling! This is music, talent, awesome piano, guitar licks that sing to you, words that I hear the first time, hear the song and the story. This is when music was written from the heart, not for the charts!

  • @TWhizTom Couldn't say it better myself

  • Amazing voice,music and piano

  • Wow.. This song rocks.. I have always wondered who the blonde was who was showcased in all their videos.... She was a smokin'

  • @imugly678 You must mean Bobbi Brown. Better known as the babe in Warrants" Cherry Pie" video. She was Jani Lane's girlfriend at the time & I think she also dated Bret Michaels as well as other musicians. But yes, youre right, she was in several of Great Whites videos. And yes she was bad to the bone.

  • @123RhoadsRandy Really?? This doesn't really look anything like Bobbie Brown compared to the Cherry Pie video.. She was way hotter I guess before she appeared in that one ! :)

  • @imugly678 Lol...how can you tell...you cant see her face once. I just took for granted that that's who you were talking about because she was in the Once Bitten Twice Shy video at the least and I think another Great White one but cant remember which. Although I had to go back & watch this one so I cant say for sure but she was definitely one of the hair metal video "babe staples". I was gonna say, man that must be awesome to be able to recognize Bobbi from the rear.

  • @imugly678 Check out their "Save Your Love" video. This could be our girl here in that one as well. From whats she's wearing they might have been filmed back to back lol.

  • i'm glad "once bitten twice shy" isn't the only song i like about these guys :P

  • Because of the music industry of today you will never again hear beautiful music like this again. That's very tragic.

  • One of my brothers favorites!

  • 80's Hair/Glam band

  • underrated, " can....not " be overstated

  • Such a beautiful song!Bands today just don't have this kind of talent anymore.

  • thnx Froman very mucho

  • Get away from the mainstreem rock bands, and this is what you`ll find.

This band plays from the heart ,not from the cheque book..... THIS IS WHY THEY ARE SO GOOD

  • BEAUTIFUL ,

    CHILLS CHILLS CHILLS !

  • This was back when rockstars were able to play a number of instruments as giftedly as their main instrument of choice, too. Now you are very lucky to see dramatic guitar solos, great drummers and lead vocalists with good voices outside of European symphonic metal.

  • @InnateNobility . WELL SAID, I AGREE. IT'S CALLED MUSICAL TALENT!

  • This is such a beautiful song! This really did explain how hard it is really is to make it in Hollywood.

  • you have great taste in ballad rock, really bored stiff

Great White was like listening to Zeppelin. You have to be at a certain place in your head to really feel the music. Tip my hat to you guyz, you really knew how to play.......

  • you have great taste in ballad rock, really bored stiff

  • This is my top favorite Great White song. It's completely aweing and unforgettable.

  • @InnateNobility Also one of the most underrated blues rock bands ever. These guys really had great chops!

  • i love the fade of this video.... they were standing in the skycraper... capitol building????is that the one?

  • Simply incredible!!!

  • These guys were so underated that it's frustrating.

  • "Hollywood ain't paved with gold...", I love this song.

  • who gives a crap about thier hair !!!! listen to that piano!

  • @michaelsivley yes that piano is from truly something eles.

  • A truly beautiful song!

  • it says hair rock ballad in the description but theres no music as hair rock, great white is a blues/hard rock band with led zeppelin influences

  • @GlamTillDeath Im not sure but I think Hair Rock or Hair Metal is the equivalent of Glam Metal, no?

  • @aqatato no, mtv created hair metal term in the 90s to diss 80s hard rock and heavy metal bands. none was using the term 'hair metal' for glam in the 80s. and in the 80s everyone had big long hair , not just the glamsters

  • Jay this is for you.

  • this dedicated to my son jeffrey and my grandson scott they need this god be with them

  • Hugely underrated song from the 1980s. Great White always got classified as hair metal because of, well their hair, but their music was much more gritty and blues-based. Mark Kendall is more a guitarist in the Stevie Ray Vaughn mold and Jack Russell's voice has far more range and expression than spandex rock requires. Also, notice that besides the hair, this video has aged incredibly well. Great music always has a timeless feel to it.

  • Where did these days go???

  • @2112tanner I have been wondering this for the past 20 years now!!! How I would love them back! True music and true people to follow!!

  • u know i love this song so much. but nit tryin to sound crazy but i let some one down and i mostly have whole life and i don t waqnt to do it no more they love me so much. i can t do it no more right now i want to do like this song says

  • Met this singer tonight! Blast from the past! Now I see this vid and all I can think is, where the heck is Bobbie Brown!!!

  • one of their best songs.

  • This reminds me of all the hot metal chicks at concerts like Great White.

  • I wish my band and i lived in 80's....

  • thetlh46

@volley1girl1 I'm sorry about your dad. But if you had to play a song this is the best song to play. This song makes me sad.

  • @Kiphrane lol sure looked like a dumbass lol

  • the most evil metal band on earth... black metal kiddies look lame compared to them

  • @GlamTillDeath twisted fuc

  • @JusAnotherUTuber It wasnot the bands fault for that tragedy. The manager, and effects personnel arranged the effects without their knowledge. You really think they wanted to kill their fans? If you are that twisted man, YOU NEED HELP!

  • @JusAnotherUTuber i guess the who are murders too your an idiot you should change your handle to just another poser

  • remembering the 80s me too born in 70s lived through one of the best decades ever when it came to music including power ballads and hair bands

  • This song must have been written about me

  • Chills.....

  • AWESOME PIANO

  • Fantastic stuff. Love the piano work in this one, esepcially mid-song.

  • ah....the late eighties, those were some excellent times

  • @skytree76 MAN I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO GO BACK

  • music can't get better than this !!!!

  • this is plain great ballad...you people all wanting to cry on yourselves is killing me man..lol...i can play the keyboard parts on natural harmonics with my guitar, then blast in to this great solo that is the heart of this song man..truly a great song..guitar players on here just put some delay in it and its easy to mimic..have to say my PRS makes it easy to get the sound,3 peddles and delay off EFX on my Marshall..BAM nailed solid...play it LOUD!

  • Meee toooo !!!! This guitar solo.... is so beautiful !!!!

  • świetne.... !!!!!! :((((

  • love the guitar solo

  • MUITO LEGAL ... TEMPOS DE VINIL ...

  • good video and great song.

  • This one is so beautiful!

  • i love this song

  • the most beautiful thing I've ever heard *.*

Heard only 2 songs from them but already fell in love with them :)
