@KingIsulgard Because CO2 lasers made to cut through 1 inch thick metal run in the Kilowatt power range, to cut material this thick you'd need something even more absurd and to pay a laser operator who is certified to operate such equipment instead of a simple machinist. Additionally while lasers do great with sheet metal and plates then can't get the three dimensional detail that a CNC setup can, for instance the angles grooves on the bottom gear would be impossible for a conventional CNC laser
@gymkhanadog oh don't worry, the CAM data always three times check by three different engineering, so it's hard to get trouble with the CAM data, most trouble is a break down cutting tools...
Why don't cut it with a "laser"? :)

Now I have an answer. It's made by TOS Kurim in the Czech Republic. As I understand it, these machines are extraordinarily precise.
