  • evolution. or maybe a descendant of the anunnaki.

  • Splendid! I really hope his parents to nurture this child so to pursue a sort of activity that he may take advantage of his uniqueness in the future. Simply fantastic!

  • dudes gunna be the badest boxer ever lived.

  • The only thing I do believe might be true of the whole six fingers and six toes myths is the good luck that seems to follow us that are born this way. I have never broke a bone in life or have had known major medical issues so far. I am both physically and spiritually healthy and have always been. I have always been considered above average intelligence throughout primary, high school and college. I have seemed to be dealt a good hand in life :)

  • I was born this way and throughout my life people have asked some interesting questions and had some interesting theories about us who were born this way. This genetic defect is nothing new. People for thousands of years have been born this way so its not evolution at work. Another theory is people born with six fingers and toes are decendants of survivors of the Flood in the Bible and we are the devils children. LOL the most ridiculous thing I ever heard.

  • at 1:21 i immediately paused and scrolled down to the comments, and i was greatly dissapointed

  • As long as it was not chicken fingers, all is good.:)

  • To me it is completely insane that someone would want to chop off this child's extra fingers simply out of a fear that he might get teased by other kids. Emphasis on the word "might". You don't even know if he will be teased - the other kids might actually think it's cool.

And besides, since when do we let the teasing of a child's grammar school age peers dictate a decision like this?

Consider it a gift from God - or an evolutionary experiment - something that will make your child special.

  • Doesnt Ugueth Urbina have this going on?

  • I really hope that they don't have them cut off! o.0 It's kind of surprising that this isn't more common, since it's a dominant trait

  • This isn't that uncommon. There is an older man with six fingers. see how arbitrary our number system is! If we evolved with six fingers we would work on a base 12 number system! Everything that is "normal" would be different. Evolution at work.

  • @whwsjackfrost

I've always wondered what that would be like- 12 base number system. I'm very suspicious of math because of its origins

  • OMG THE BEARD!!!...THE BEard...mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

  • Proof that evolution applies to humans, too.

  • this is AWESOME...

  • Being good at piano or guitar is not relevant to survival.

  • Did you know six fingers is actually a dominant trait?

  • @MatchCard obviously

a genome with more fingers is clearly gonna be dominant

  • @pimpofdoom Genome with more fingers? I didn't know genomes had fingers... kidding aside, we are talking about a trait, allele, characteristic, but not genome. Why don't you go and try to act smart somewhere else. I was merely stating that as a "fun" fact.

  • @MatchCard why state obvious facts then? seems to me you just wanted to look special

  • @pimpofdoom It wasn't obvious to myself. I thought this was some rare, recessive "deformity" and until recently I learned it was not so. I was just sharing the knowledge...

  • out of the six billion people on earth one will be different

  • as it was in the days of noah..... nephilim

  • Gamer of the decade...

  • How is copied information evolution?

There is nothing new here. How do you get from apes to humans copying already existing information?

  • @neoverse You're not a perfect copy of your parents. You're a mix of them both with a few mutations here and there. Some may be beneficial, some may lead to an early death.

The change from ape to homo sapiens didn't occur over night. It's taken countless small mutations to bring you from ape into what you are today.

  • How is he suppose to flip people off! He has no middle finger!

  • 01:37 Did he just say penis?

  • @DuckaOFFICIAL Pianist.

  • 1. Grow sideburns

    2. ????

    3. Become a doctor

  • Twelve digits is a challenge in a base ten world. Challenge cultivates growth. Also, conjoined twins show two heads are more beneficial than one.

  • man that kid must have a crap childhood

  • @JungleJargon So which one of the 8 people aboard Noah's ark had 6 fingers and 6 toes?

  • @justintempler None of the people on the Ark had six fingers or six toes. Some of their descendants did just like the baby is one of the descendants of Noah.

Did I really have to explain that?

  • @justintempler Genetically it was passed down. Or its a deformation. Who cares? You're still a human and will be made perfect in the second coming.

  • @MrReman23 Who cares? Apparently you do or you wouldn't have wasted your time leaving a comment.

  • Guitar hero CHAMPION in the making!!

  • @EclipseStrife i already envy this kid...

  • Hey, if they are not deformed or in the way of functioning properly, why not keep it that way? The Dr. had a great point.

  • Epic guitarist! :D

  • lol some people are really crazy with all that dna shit... obviously god made everyone a certain way for the reason...is it so hard to understand?!?! Little kids get that!

  • Darwin was right afterall...if he marries a woman with six fingers will all their children also have six digits - if so, then evolution and darwins theory have finally been proven - eitherway, when he dies, scientists who uncover his bones will clasify him as a separate species - maybe 'dextorus man' or something! - the title of this vid says 'beneficial' mutation, so it should catch on if true that six fingers is really better than five, and 'dextrus man' will one day rule the earth!

  • Comment removed

  • @TREACLE97 It's too bad Natural Selection has absolutely no opportunity to permeate human society since everyone is so barricaded from harm. You bring up an interesting point that I'd been wondering myself: Short of playing symphonies impossible to us ten digit humans, what benefit does this really provide?

  • @corpser51 - I am not at all religious (evolutionists assume anyone questioning their science must be?), but there are serious and obvious flaws in the idea that mutations create new species - the mutations nessesary just don't exist - this type of mutation is not new information, its simply a mutation of extra digits - eg. spiders may occassionaly mutate extra legs, but it changes nothing - according to fossil records, spiders have 8 legs, hourse 4 and humans 5 digits on each hand.

  • @corpser51 - talking of mutations, most animals and humans have 2 eyes in their face area, but an additional eye in the rear of the head would definately be benificial so why has it not 'evolved' - not even a mutation light sensitive patch has been found on any animal in all recorded history - shouldn't humans occassionaly have mutations like wing stubs, light senitive patches, additional joints, additional muscles, odd new organs, a few cells in the brain sensitive to radio waves etc.?

  • @TREACLE97 "but an additional eye in the rear of the head would definately be benificial so why has it not 'evolved' "

Just having a beneficial mutation in and of itself is not enough, For the beneficial mutations to spread through a species population there has kind of environmental "cost" for not having that mutation. As long as there is no environmental cost for not having the mutation there is no selective pressure for your beneficial mutation to spread through the population.

  • @justintempler - you miss the point - for these 'beneficial mutations' to be adopted, they have to occur and be tested in the first place - for ideal mutations to be adopted, a mass range of wierd and wonderful mutations would need to occur in every species including bizzare and inovative mutations that will lead to possible new organs, information and function - regretfully, not even simple mutations occur that could lead to things like this - its a good theory, but its void of any evidence!

  • @TREACLE97 You're the one missing the point, there is no gene that is solely responsible for each one of your organs so you wouldn't expect new organs to appear, the formation of a new organ would have to develop on an incremental level one step at a time, each change in your genetic code that would be responsible for the formation of the new organ would have to build on previous changes that were selected for.

  • @justintempler - if you believe what you are saying then good for you. These micro changes you rely on are variants of existing information - your theory may be true, but it is certainly not evident in any evidence I have ever seen - put the theory to use and go bread something new that will bring you fame and fortune - fruit flies bread at a hell of a pace - perhaps you could gradually bread/select them to have rotary blades instead of wings?

  • @TREACLE97 "These micro changes you rely on are variants of existing information"

Look up the term "frame shift mutation" = new information

And for god sake if you are going to discuss evolution learn how to spell breed, bread is something you eat.

  • i want that man to be my pediatrician

  • Just imagine the drugs that kid could deal.

  • This kid's gonna beat Petrucci xD

  • I guess this kid will be wearing mittens.

  • That's soooo cool...The girl is a super human

  • This is not in any way proof of evolution .this has happened to many people in the past as well, the bible clearly points out that this is not a mutation but a genetic trait of nephilum.

  • Incest in the family tree.

  • @Hm0ngYexus

They're still swinging from that tree.

  • Cute looking baby and perfect to boot!

  • What the hell is with the doctor? it's not 1748, damnit.

  • @JosephBr0seph

If it was 1748 they would've thrown that baby off a cliff.

  • I'm not a pianist, so I wouldn't know, but wouldn't you need a six fingered person to properly teach this kid six fingered pieces?

  • He's going to mob at guitar hero

  • this child needs to play the piano or some instrument!!!!!

  • probably never gonna be a handmodel

  • Doctor looks like General Custer.

    It's funny 'cause they're black.

  • It's not a "mutation." This trait has been documented thousands of years ago. Some people have more teeth. These are probably not "extra," but something most people had before man made nutritional deficiencies. Most people used to have naturally straight teeth before today's man made diet. There are no "beneficial mutations," only the body's ability to slightly adjust and regulate itself in order to adapt.

  • he can put all six of those fingers in me, that's for sure

  • @acridus you sick son of a bitch that comment has to be against the law in some state..just cause you have a 2 inch dick doesnt mean you have to molested children you twisted handicapped motherfucker

  • My friends dad has 6 fingers on each hand, and I've never seen him use them in any way that was beneficial

  • Gattaca is near...

  • i was born with this on hands and feet... i was never on the news =[

  • @ChooChooTron so did i its a form of a mutation not fair =(

  • I think it's beautiful, I agree with the doctor, if they are all functional, and he can use them, I say keep them, teasing sure, but that could help in alot of things :D

  • lol In your face KKK, the next step in evolution is coming from a black family! :P

    Lamest X-Man ever though....

  • being a guitar player.. almost kinda jealous lol

  • beneficial??? how the hell is that gonna help him run from police??? and what about the finger printing cards they use? yer fuckin up the system little guy. (jokes)

and to the evolutionists... i was told the next step is to LOSE the pinky toes and fingers!

  • they guy never needs to go to maury to see who the daddy thats for sure

  • the brink of evolution, baby

  • LOL he would win in a fight nice big 5 nukkles :D

  • Here is the next Homo Novus.

  • Nephilim genes.

  • imagine what kind of a doctor a man with these mutton chops could be.

  • since they're all functional that's pretty cool. i'd give a toe from each foot for an extra functional finger on each hand. who cares about name calling, those bastards are just jealous that they wouldn't be able to play accordion better than i could. the way i see it, this is the perfect example of evolution.

  • @ishouldplayzelda What if the opposite were true and you were, dare I say, average or even sub par; the disappointment of not being better or superior than your 1 less digit contemporary would eat away at you!

  • I'm really surprised that his 6th finger is actually functional.

  • 6666666666666666 everyware!!! antichrist baby

  • the doctor needs a reality check. its called 21 century and razors.

  • Teach him piano!

  • that is amazing. simply beautiful!

  • Amazing Features

  • Started out creeped out by the kid's mitts, burst out laughing when I saw the doctor

  • The doctor at 1:23 has the best beard.

  • This kid will have a hard time finding gloves when he gets older. His mom will have to learn to knit.

@FannyAdamsToday LOL. trolling at its best.

  • Evolution in action, bitches.

  • hay doc no need to call the kid a penis

  • get this kid some piano lessons!

  • The GATTACA intro titles said "In the not-too-distant future"...

  • @srhfjimenez I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of Gattaca.

  • start giving this kid piano lessons

  • A new human kind

  • The mutation it's... it's.... amazing. The Mutton Chop Sideburns... they're perfectly functional!

  • Now watch him get measles and die because people won't get vaccinated...... thanks jenny

  • this kid is going to be a drumming prodigy

  • Most proper drumming rests in the wrist. Only two fingers (thumb, index) truly grip the stick, creating a fulcrum for the stick to balance on. The other fingers simply wrap around to keep the stick from falling from your hands.

Faster drumming uses fingers to power the stroke, but they press on the stick in unison. Having extra fingers wouldn't help.

Only 1 technique I've seen would benefit from 6 fingers - some sort of finger roll I saw JoJo Mayer do in a video once, and it has limited use.

  • Don't leave you're kids with a guy with mutton chops. He'll add extra toes and fingers.

  • That doctor has wicked sideburns

  • think of his typing skills :)

  • I see a future piano prodigy

  • How is this kid going to buy gloves?

  • Ben Franklin is their pediatrician

  • Why are we telling a story about a six fingered babby? The real story is WHAT IS UP WITH THOSE MUTTON CHOPS, MAN?

  • This is a dominant trait. We should breed people with 12 fingers, it really increases dexterity and improves your coordination. I've seen 6 fingered people throw curve balls like you've never seen before.

  • @pinserz

Calm down redditor, I'm not lying ಠ_ಠ. And the "fucking idiot" part was a little uncalled for...I thought you redditors were rational, intelligent people.

  • @macwild1234 We are. We redditors do not approve of his actions as a whole.

  • @pinserz No shit sherlock. He was being ironic.

  • but does it weigh the same as a duck ?

  • this kid will have awesome micro skills in starcraft

  • the mothers last name is Gross? really now

  • But hey, there is no evolution, there is no change, all is made perfect by god... oh wait... even humans today show random mutations, another clear prove that creationism is total bullshit.

  • SUDDENLY EPIC MUTTONCHOPS MAN!

  • I used to love my autocorrect add-on. So much for that.

  • This kid should be a musician... He will kick ass.

  • I have 16 fingers on each hand, therefore I am a master pianist/guitarist/typist. derp derp!

  • "My name is Indigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

  • @jacobyjd Inigo**

  • kill it with fire

  • @drrrerr

    fire purifies

  • Sweet sideburns

  • A guitar/piano master is born!!!

  • the pediatrician looks creepy as hell

  • cool!

  • I couldn't listen to the audio because of the computer I'm on, but they father and mother seem very accepting and I hope the child is not too harshly judged by "different is bad and ridiculed" mentality that seems to predominate the world atm.

  • I hope they keep the fingers :)

  • Get a guitar in that kids hands!

  • @fatb0tLP Indeed this kid would be an amazing guitarist,

now if we can only protect him from Inigo Montoya he should be all good!

  • @fatb0tLP music is not a matter of number, it's a matter of talent and dedication.

  • @caruccio It would be SO much easier. It does take skill, but more fingers would make it easier.

  • @caruccio But the extra fingers allow him to play more complex chords/patterns.

  • "and this little guy might help others to GRASP the importance of embracing differences..." gotta love local news.

  • #LOL the doctor looks like he flew in from the 18th century!

  • @Mamboi : The clip of that doctor makes me almost believe this is a hoax.

  • WOOOOAH!!!! MUTTON CHOPS!!!!

  • Evolution

  • OMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD

    ITS A MUTANT BAAAABEY

HOW I CAN MAKE A MUTANT BABEY

  • @AIAZISten sleep with your sister...

  • LOL @ THE DR

  • The 6 fingers arent the scientific miracle here. Those sideburns are! 1:21

  • Two words: PIANO LESSONS

  • Awesome I want one.... I mean two...

  • I'm more amazed of the doctor sideburns lol

  • @mrcmxoner Had a bit of a "woah" moment there too.

  • I love how his last name is Gross! lmao. He's a sweet baby though.

  • God damn another great black musician..

  • did that Dr. come from a civil war reenactment?

  • Take that stupid creationists :P

  • Evolution!

  • anchor is hot

  • Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

  • Evolution at work.

  • Teach that kid piano right away!

  • @iHateKids555

my god i thought the same thing! haha

  • Who's the French Doctor from 1820?
