I have some research to do as I honestly am not familiar with the EDL and whatever they stand for. The little I know is the claim to be supporters of "the English way of life"..what does that mean? Also i see the claim to be open to all faiths, elasticities, cultures. The marches I have seen have tended to be a sea of white faces..and c'mon since the immigration wave of the '50's and 60's on peoples from the east and west indies to GBR white folks marching asserting Britain hasnt boded well.

@Sabotaz80xx I got mixed up between Northampton and Nottingham. Nottingham has been described as the gun capital of the UK. There is less gun crime in total than the cities you would expect like Manchester, London and Glasgow but relative to it's size, it has the most.

Definitely has it problems, more so than a lot of places, but it also offers a lot.
I live here safely and enjoy my life in the borough.

There's little point comparing just the city of Glasgow to Greater London. You're not comparing like for like.
Either compare the entire Strathclyde region or a compare the city of Glasgow to a London borough or two.
A lot of sloppy journalism has granted Glasgow this murder capital title, which, to be honest, isn't totally accurate.
Hackney has had Britain's highest rate, of recent years, with a rate of nearly 10 back in 2003/04. More recently, Lambeth.
And definitely no where in Greater Manc.
