The song is much slower, and you didn't notice that the arrangement is also very different which yes makes this rendition different. . . . but she still hit the high note wakes makes the song. So no matter what this is HER song, Jenifer Hudson did an amazing job when she sang it, but Jennifer Holiday will always own this song

Jennifer did okay. That song is a very difficult song to sing.

No singer is going to be 100% every night. We singers are human and we deal with human things like: sore/hoarse throat, colds, mucus, stress, etc.

I'm sorry but some parts of that performance was pure comedy - yet she tried so hard to pull it off. Her voice is obviously and slowly deteriorating throughout the song. The song is obviously out of her range, she should've sung it at a different key. Fortunately she does this now.

Hudson can't hold the same note with as much power like Holiday can, especially at the end of the song and the long note towards the end of the song, Holiday is better,but I like J hud version also she has a powerful voice but can't compare to Holiday.
