Go to Weather Underground, Radar, and bottom right corner of page is "Radar Archive". Go to the appropriate Nexrad radar location, put in the date you want, and you can see the history of the storm that's on the video. Typical South Florida scenario.

I don't know something about being in a downtown and/or high-rise area during these storms gets to me? Who wants to work that Crane on the top of the building haha! I've been in lots of heavy storms in FL, but one in downtown St. Petersburg just freaked me out when your surrounded by 30 story lightning rods, and that echo off the buildings reverberates down the block, spooky!!!

This is a good example of the thunderstorms we get here in Miami. Although, I gotta say, it seems as thoughthe beach areas get the worst of the storms. I live in Kendall, we get bad storms, but when I lived in the beach area, it was definitely worse than here. I wish we got thunderstorm just a little more often. They don't usually occur until about June sometimes in May.

Humid 10 months of the year? No, not quite. Try about 6 or 7 months in South Florida and maybe about 5 mos. in the rest of the state. And it does not storm "95% of the time." --LOL! Our storm season roughly coincides with the humid time of the year. The winter half of the year is mostly dry and sunny, hence the nickname of "Sunshine State."

We had a big storm here the other night, there was a tornado watch out too and I knew it was going to be a big storm with a lot of hail because I was in bed and I rolled over on my side to face the window and watch the lightning and rain, and one of the lightning flashes was green! So cool!!
