This car is fantastic BUT I would still rather have an E46 M3 and not cause oooo it's an M3 but cause it's faster and kinda better looking. Plus there's other things that are better on it that the 335i doesn't have cause it's not built to be like a race car like the M3 is.

M3 is a fully race bred suspension and has a limited slip differential to put the power down in turns. The 335i lacks a LSD and spins like mad in turns. In straights, sure I think both cars about approximately just as fast. But if you are saying that overall the 335i outperforms the E46 M3, I don't think that is a fair statement. The 335i is a fast sports sedan. The E46 M3 is a race car. Apples and oranges.

335i is NOT faster than an e46 M3..l have an 2003 STOCK(for the moment)SMG M3 and it does 0-60 in 4.8 and quarter mile in 13.1 ive personally raced 07 335i and beat them YES they are fast but not FASTER!!!it does 0-60 in 4.9 its close but then top end on the m3 beats it enough to CLEARLY see the m3 won..END OF STORY!

I dont agree with you all.New 335i is good loking maybe not that good but the new M3 will be an killer for audi s4-rs4 and for mercedes(losers) c class.But i dont think that 335i with 3.0turbo can beat the M3-Mpower with 3.2v6 343hp and especialy the M3CSL

Okay, a stock 335i runs mid 13's, low 13's on drag radials. Stock SMG M3s are running 13 flat (SMG means no real launch). Check DragTimes (dot) com if you want proof. There are M3s with Intake, Exhaust, and tune running mid-12. Now tell me which one is faster again?

actually the 335i is faster than the e46 m3... my buddy owns an m3 while another friend of mine has a 335i and of course we raced them... 335i pulled ahead through 1st and second about a half a car and stayed that way all the way through 4th gear. Not to mention the kid with the m3 had intake and exhaust... and no do not blame it on driver skill because both of them are excellent drivers. Race proven... 335i is faster than the e46 m3.

Dude...not saying your wrong or anything, But If your not 100% sure look up the data on both those cars...you will get the answer:)...BMW have benched and test driven them both and knows 100%. Would not suprise me if your right by the way:)

You buy the 335i when you can't afford the M3. Who in their right mind would pass up the handcrafted M engine and the superior finishes of the M3?. My bet is that the 335i is like a bucket of bolts at the 230km/h mark. The M3 hugs the road.

Are you high fer356? You MUST be joking. The 335 has consistently make a 0-60 time of 4.7...and the Rz4 4.8. The NEW M3 will be at least .5 better in a 0-60. Laaaaaaaaaaaaater RS4. BTW...love the RS4.

its faster then the E46 m3, as of now but the new m3 will come out in the end of 2007, which will have a great impact on society and this new m3 will take AUDI another 7 years to catch up to BMW
