You are innocent intil proven guilty. There was no physcial evidence that linked him to the murder. If this had happen in the United States and the suspect was hispanic he would be let free because their wasn't any physical evidence. Here in the U.S we are fair to immigrantes when it comes to the criminal justice system and plus we have good technology to examine evidence to put someone at the scene of a crime. In Nicaragua their criminal justice system is unfair.

I feel bad for the victim and the accused. Justice seems to be lacking and concentrating on Eric instead of othes possible suspects. The victim's mom is not helping either. She needs to open her eyes to other possibilities. It is sad that her daughter was a slut. Rip lovely child but, we need to look to ourselves and question, why the victim put herself in that position. Maybe she was killed by the other man and not Eric.

It is impossible from this video to come to any conclusion. I find it very suspicious that this how has given no information about his co defendant. He may be innocent but Americans always think Americans abroad are innocent and this is very one sided.

@Pick1980a - Actually I watch these things dispassionately and then leave a comment based upon what I saw.

All i know about this case if from this film and said it is clearly one sided. I also stated "it is impossible FROM THIS VIDEO to come any conclusion." And in this video the cell phone statements are thrown into doubt and there are not 9 witnesses mentioned only 2 criminals.

You however are obviously quick to judge others as you make many assumptions about me in your comment.

I prefer to assess what I see and I stated from this no conclusion can be drawn, and where are these 9 witnesses you are referring too? Want to point me to this in the video? I said this is one sided and there is not enough to go on and I think that is accurate.

@Pick1980a - I checked that bit of the show again and there are only two witnesses interviewed.

Anyway, I didn't say I thought he was guilty or innocent I simply said there was not enough info to draw a conclusion in this TV show. I also wondered why there was nothing about the co defendant and said I didn't trust the show to be impartial.

I wouldn't make up my mind about something as confusing as this unless I knew much more than is revealed here - that is all.

I mean they also literally have his cell phone hitting every tower down to the town after the murder. Then a discredited Rental Car people who say they never saw him even though he has a repict with his signature on it???

@Pick1980a - Not at all. It's an american made TV show and the 2 witnesses work with him. I have no reason to believe his friends and if anything more reason to believe the independent car company. Also why does this documentary say nothing about the co-defendant? Is he still in jail?

I am just not gullible enough to take and American TV show on face value - the American media is world famous for lying. If I read the court records I would make an informed decision.

They said someone else pickup the car and he has a receipt with his own signature on it!!! How is that the same a 10 people saying they saw him! @Pick1980a - There is no other side to the issue - I commented on the fact this particular programme did not offer enough information to draw a solid conclusion in my opinion.

Did I say I thought he was guilty? Did even suggest he might be guilty? NO!!! Get that through your head. I commented about the SHOW! This SHOW and nothing more. Jeeesss!

And the co-defendant was the guy that got immunity for testifying against him, AFTER he was accused of the murder!

I simply stated that this documentary did not seems reliable and there was not enough information to draw a conclusion. Apart from watching this I have never even heard about this case. @rockstarofredondo no. the Nicaraguan police and government are not looking for anyone. they have insufficient and lack of evidence to blame eric for the crime but they insist that he is guilty. its all a political problem. he was the pawn in the game between the u.s. and the nica government. the police have enough evidence to have a trial for the original suspects but again the government choose not to pursue it. the suspects originally were two locals and doris' then current bf.

This great country of the USA was gracious to adopt me after the Soviet Union, East Germany and Cuba invaded us in 1979 , raping all of us,burning our homes and dreams as well.
