But some of the facts depicted in the movie were so wildly inaccurate that I never bothered to watch it again, even though I taped it. Namely this scene...the bombing did not take place during service, but during the Sunday school. Also, the bodies were not properly identified until they were received by the hospital and the families figured out who was missing.

This movie really brought the bombing to life for me. I knew about the bombing but I did not really understand the hell that the families went through. Seeing this documentary really brings the bombing to life and those girls were robbed of their lives by dastardly and cowardly men but thank God the men are now in prison and I hope the ghosts of the girls haunts them for the rest of their days!!!

This was a very well written, well acted TV movie - especially Richard Jenkins' chilling performance as Bobby Frank Cherry. My one (very) minor gripe is that the story is told from the point of view of a white man. Spike Lee's documentary "4 Little Girls" is a very moving and powerful account of the events as told by those that lived through them, including the family members of those poor girls. Well worth tracking down if you can...

Of course you're right, it is called "Sins of the Father" but I guess I meant that these stories of racial injustice are often told from a white character's point of view. I'm white and I already more or less know that point of view, and so would welcome stories told from a different perspective. Having said that, this was a very good movie and all the more harrowing because it's based on true events.
