  • we are not righteous, but thank God for Jesus Christ. Through his blood we are redeemed :)

  • Nothing but the blood king JESUS

  • This song speaks to mr

  • we sang this at a mens rally it sounded nice

  • What has washed away our sin? What has made us whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

    :]

  • Nothing but the blood of my saviour

  • thank You, Jesus

  • thank you Lord

  • Great song!!

  • I LOVE YOU GOD!!!! YOU ARE AMAZING! AWESTRUCK AMAZING! <3 <3

  • God, 40+ people are in need of your help. Please, save them. Amen :) God Bless!

  • This isone of my favorite songs. Would like for you all to check out a version me and my friend did. Thanks

  • Thank you Lord Jesus for your blood which was poured out for me on the cross at Calvary. I thank you Lord because you have forgiven and saved your handmaiden from the snare of hell. You paid the price and we all have been purchased through your blood. I await your return my King... Glory be to the Lamb of GOD!!!

  • What is this fixation that Christians have with blood? I mean really you are glad Jesus was killed and bleed. LOL Theist are funny. First you make claims that there is no proof for. Then you rejoice in the suffering of a man. And want to be washed in his blood that sic and nasty.

  • @undertow9x I'll tell you why we are fixated on the blood of Christ. It is the source of our salvation; it made atonement for our sins. Do not be confused, I for one did not rejoice when learning what He had to go through for us, and I'm sure the rest of us didn't at first, instead it broke my heart. Also, let me explain that when we are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, his blood covers our sin. You want proof? Then I challenge you to grab yourself a little faith in Jesus and try Him out.

  • @Aaron5464 The definition of faith is to believe is something without evidence. Why would I do that? Do you use faith for anything else in your life?

  • @undertow9x You don't understand the metaphorical resemblance behind it all. That is why it seems foolish. First, you can't back up your own claims. Second, his suffering was the punishment for our sins......He took our punishment and saved us. Third, not literally. His blood covers our sins. FIGURATIVELY. The blood that was drained from his body did nothing, it was regular human blood. It resembled healing. That is why we want to be spiritually "washed" in it. Not literal blood, metaphorical.

  • @eagles4christ I never made any claims so i don't know what you talking about.

  • @eagles4christ You sir are wrong if you read your bible(witch you most likely have not)you would see the bread and the wine become the actual body and blood of Christ. This is not a metaphor.

  • @undertow9x Um......I have read my Bible.... completely through..cover to cover..multiple times. Jesus says as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup remember me. It was saying you break bread like his body was broken..and you drink wine which was the same color as his blood. He did not become food, nor was he eaten. You are really not that smart, which is apparent through your grammar and spelling.

  • @eagles4christ Fuck you! How do you like that grammar. Look I never attacked you. Why do you feel the need to attack me? I will admit my spelling and grammar are not good. So what. So instead of telling me why I should believe any of the crap you would rather attack me personally. Would your Jesus do that?

  • @undertow9x I didn't attack you. You are freaking out. Secondly, on top of that, had you really had knowledge of the Bible...you would not have insulted me by saying I don't read the Bible and then misquote it yourself. On top of all of that......I can't really trust someone with bad grammar and spelling, horrible attitude, and very false information about the subject you are trying to debate. End of conversation.

  • @eagles4christ So you didn't attack me for having bad grammar? Look dude I don't give two shits what you think of me. Your the one living a LIE not me. Have fun being a slave to some thing you can not prove. As far as me saying some thing about you not reading the bible. The bible is clear that the bread and wine become the body and blood of Christ. That is not a metaphor. So you not knowing this would lead me to believe you have not read the bible.

  • @undertow9x Nope, I pointed it out. No, that is not stated in the Bible. But hey, let's do it this way. if that is what is said, show me the verse. Simple as that. Luke 22:19-20. That is very clear about a metaphorical resemblance. It's insane to try to say that Jesus is saying the bread and wine is literally his body and blood. That verse says nothing close to that. As often as you take of this bread and cup, remember me. Pretty clear.

  • @undertow9x The Just, that's Jesus, died for the unjust, that's you and me. If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you'll be saved from sins eternal consequences. Thank you ,Lord.

  • @1cor14vs1 Can you please tell me how you know this?

  • @undertow9x God Bless your day.

  • please find me worthy Lord Jesus !

  • nice song

  • check out my music and subscribe!!! God bless you!

  • This song makes me want to just be enveloped in the presence of my holy and just God who deserves his glory simply for existing, excluding everything he's done for us.

  • thankyou gregrice50 for uploading this song with lyrics. it is blessing me so much :-)

  • too Salvation we march thank you Jesus for your power too the ETERNAL we March

  • Thank you for the Blood indeed....Jesus!

  • Thank you Jesus, thank you for making the way to the Father. No method, no teacher, no religion, no guru... No human effort (our righteousness is like dirty rags in your sight Lord). You are Holy and yet you love me so much that you died for me when I was even you enemy saying that there is no God... Prince of Peace, Lord of Love, thank you for the Peace, the Joy , the Hope, the Life!

  • Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus make us free from our burden of sin, make us to be

    a victory win over evil

  • "Eloi Eloi Lama Sabachthani"

It took me so long to understand why Jesus would say this, but I now know he was telling his Father, our God, us - that he had taken on the sins of the world so heavy and tainted that he was actually separated from God for a small, but most important moment in all of the universe time.

This is the definition of unconditional love.

Matthew 21:9 - "Hosanna to the Son of David!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Hosanna in the highest!"

    Amen.

  • that is soooo true an amazing :D

  • I can't wait until the RAPTURE! stupid news people are saying the world is going to end next year. well, it's Jesus' decision. Me and my classmates (i go to a Christian school) believe that the rapture is coming. well not believe, but it seems like it with all the tornadoes and floods, and that one story when all these dead birds( approximatley 200) fell from sky found one the road. :)

  • Thank you Lord...we wait anxiously for you to return and re-claim ALL that is yours! We love you!

  • @msljyoung : I'd like to have some more days here on earth.....so I hope, the Lord won't come too early ;-)....I'm sure, the Lordwon't have any problems with us having fun and laugh and lead a life full of live and one or two good beers....

  • @sleepwalker109 If you don't believe in God or Jesus Christ why did you even come to this video? It's like you just wanted to argue or something. Just quit bashing peoples beliefs and trying to prove them wrong. A real Christian won't let people like you change their faith. So piss off, chode.

  • @YoEli38 ...and all the people said, AMEN.

  • @YoEli38 I believe in God. I don't believe that humans should be taught to externalise guilt and therefore ignore everything that they are taught to believe will lead to their salvation. Comments like "So piss off, chode" are exactly the kind of comment that your religion abhors. I came to this video because a friend sent me the link in an attempt to persuade me to Chistianity, I felt that I should seek a wider viewpoint and you have successfully reminded me why I dislike organised religion.

  • @sleepwalker109 Hi. I'm not trying to force anything at you, but maybe you shouldn't let one person lead you away from a potentially awesome relationship with an Awesome God. Many people are young in their walk with Christ and often don't know how to act. Many fail to realize that we may be the only Jesus someone will see. We all fall short, but that's why God forgives. It's times when someone messes up He overlooks and shows grace. Give it another chance, you may be surprised.

  • Just know that you're here to listen about our savior who is here for you and not those who reject his teachings, posing to be Christians. Ignore what others say about you or to you and remember the foundations of Christianity isn't organized religion, it's a faithful relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord & Savior who died so that we may be saved. People will say things in the name of Jesus to turn away many but listen out for God and you will hear him call.

    God bless you

  • @Sleepwalker, you have the correct name, because that is what you are doing! There comes a day when every knee WILL bow, and every tongue WILL confess that Jesus is Lord! If you wait until that day, it will be too late for you! Repent and confess now, and ask Jesus to save you too!

  • @Whiteguy1963 Forbid the fact that I should make reasoned arguments in order to suggest something only to be beaten down with a personal attack which has no reference to what I said.

  • What can make us whole again?

    Nothing but the blood

  • Jesus is now in us; His blood has washed us from all sin, yesterdays, todays, and tommorrows. We no longer have to live under the law. When God see us, He see Jesus, so we are prefect in Gods eyes. Wow!

  • Versão mais rápida .. brazil \o

  • All I know is that Jesus died and was raised from the dead for my sins;He took all my sins; In fact Jesus died for the sin of the whole world,That if anyone should believe on Jesus they will be saved.

  • @cjipcs ABSOLUTELY....Amen!!! :-)

Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission..... --- Heb. 9:22

In Exodus, God says, "....When I see the BLOOD, I will pass over you........" - Ex. 12:13.

  • @pepsiprincess48033 That has nothing to do with Jesus, in fact, that epitomises a God that is wrathful and destructive, smiting down those who have enslaved his people...

In general, this sickens me. We are deliberately exonerating people off all guilt. No matter whether I rape, murder and adulterate or good to church every weekend and carry the Lord in my heart, mind and soul. If I live his commands every day, I'm still a sinner. But its alright kids, the blood of Jesus means we will all be ok

  • @cjipcs You said all I know is.... How do you know?

  • @cjipcs Praise God!!!!:)

  • @cjipcs that is a whole lot of cliche's - you ever have an original thought?

  • i lose my grandpa mar,27,11 any time i hear this song it make me cry love u grandpa

  • i lose my grandpa mar,27,11 any time i hear this song it make me cry

    love u grandpa

  • Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

    Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

  • thank you Jesus for eternal living only you can Save and Deliver

  • So, do you want me to send my evidences to you? -cocks head curiously-

  • Oh, Wolf's Rain is a sweet anime TV show that I watched a while ago. :) Oh, the evidences are sort of through my own discovery by reading many different news articles and such. And also, "faith"... it works both ways. Even if you believe in science and logic, it's also "believing" through "faith" that you're always right, and that science is never wrong. Just something my teacher told me once.

  • @WolfGirl14 "Oh, the evidences are sort of through my own discovery by reading many different news articles and such."

Have you ever read any news articles or books that counter your religious views? Have you read anything by Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennet, Sam Harris or Matt Dillahunty?

We could go earlier and I could ask if you've read Nietzsche or Sartre or Voltaire?

What about Epicurus or Omar Khayyam?

    Thomas Jefferson?

    Thomas Paine?

    Benjamin Franklin?

  • @WolfGirl147 Lets say that their is no Heaven or Hell and I die, I do not lose anything; But if their If I am right that you need to believe on Jesus to be saved to get to heaven and you die you just lost everything! What you base your believes on is what a man said or thinks, and they still are not sure;; I base my believes on the bible which is the inspired word of God. No where dose the bible contradict itself.

    Check out site;allabouttruth. org/bible-contradictions.

  • @cjipcs Well said! I've heard that philosophy before. It's saying, "What do you have to lose by believing?" If you refuse to believe in the one true God and refuse to live the way He tells you to, if it ends up to be true and you die, then you go to Hell. If it ends up to be false and you were right all along, you lose nothing and you cease to exist. Both aren't very good, are they? If you believe, you will go to Heaven or, if it's false, you will cease to exist. Better alternative, eh? :)

  • @WolfGirl147 That's the exact opposite of the truth. Your teacher is wrong. Science adjusts its views based on what is observed. Faith is the denial of observation so that belief can be preserved. If you drop a ball, every time, excepting external circumstances such as a string holding it up or a breeze etc. the ball drops. This is the basis of science. If we were to find a situation where the ball does not fall, science would attempt to repeat it but more importantly (cont...)

  • @WolfGirl147 (...cont.) they would adjust their theories to take into account these observations. If you can show me overwhelming evidence of the existence of any kind of higher power who can punish or reward us and has any interest in the human race, I will be embarrassed for my denial of your God but I will run through the streets yelling "Take physics and bin in!" because I will not hold a blind faith in His lack of existence once it is proved.

  • @WolfGirl147 However, even if his existence _is_ proved, I refuse to supplicate myself in front of a God who allowed us to live, die and wallow in our sins for 100,000 years before he sent his son to wash us clean, exonerating us of our guilt.

  • @sleepwalker109 so you refuse the way out and decided to keep suffering in this world and the next, think it over again please?

  • But anyway, that's a book that you should pick up at your local library. It might change your mind, it might not. Either way, you'll be a smarter person after you've read it. I sure was. And I ask you the question again: Would you like the five evidences?

  • @WolfGirl147 "Would you like the five evidences?"

I'd MUCH rather talk about what YOU believe as opposed to those five.... people or proofs or whatever.

If you were impressed with it, why don't you try to explain it to me, and I'll tell you why they're almost certainly wrong.

HOWEVER, I'm more than willing to admit that *I* could be wrong if you're willing to return the favor.

Faith doesn't last ten seconds against evidence and logic, my friend.

BTW, I like your anime profile. Wolf's Rayne?

  • It states on the back of the book this paragraph: "But eventually he saw that his arguments wouldn't stand up. Josh became a speaker on college and university campuses, challenging those who were just as skeptical as he had been. In More than a Carpenter, Josh focuses upon the person who changed his life -- Jesus Christ. It is a hard-headed book for people who are skeptical about Jesus' deity, his resurrection, his claims on their lives."

  • Please, you keep jabbing at me with such ferocity... I just asked you a simple question, and you haven't said yes or no. Would you like me to send you the five evidences? It's a simple question. Nothing more. And in response to your mention of talking snakes and the flood, you should read "More than a Carpenter," by Josh McDowell. He used to be an atheist like yourself, he thought us Christians were "out of [our] minds." He put us down, he argued against our faith... (continued)

  • @WolfGirl147 "Would you like me to send you the five evidences?"

Sorry about that, got a little carried away. :-)

No, thank you. I'm reasonably sure I can read the Bible literally and take it at it's word literally. Some of the smartest and best educated men in the world assembled the Bible and edited it into it's current form.

And guess what? It's STILL evil and fucking ridiculous!

And I don't need books to tell me that, I can actually READ the Bible and see for myself how evil it is.

  • @GoodAvatar Hmm. I see. Just remember, it isn't a literal story. Jews are very metaphorical.

I wish you had more courage to read them. Sorry, I don't mean that in an offensive way... it's just that so many atheists, when directed with the opportunity to read profound evidence for something they think is ridiculous, they turn it down because they're afraid to be proven wrong. -sighs- Alright. I won't bother you anymore. Have a fantastic Easter, Mr. GoodAvatar. :)

  • @WolfGirl147 "Hmm. I see. Just remember, it isn't a literal story. Jews are very metaphorical."

If that's the case, then why should we take the Bible as ANYTHING other than metaphor?

If you're going to mix and match which miracles actually occurred, that destroys ALL of their validity.

Since you don't regard talking snakes as real, I wonder why you take water to wine seriously?

Why do you take Jesus Making Lunch for everyone as a miracle and NOT the Global Flood(which didn't happen)???

  • @WolfGirl147 "I wish you had more courage to read them."

It's not a question of courage, it's a question of reality.

YOU don't read books about how Zeus might use the charged molecules in the clouds to hurl his lightning bolts, do you?

No, of course you don't.... You know why?

Because that's fucking ridiculous. And that's something of the same position I'm in.

It's not that I think that I'm WRONG.... It's getting YOU to accept information you don't want to hear.

    *shrug*

  • its real, just ask anyone WHO USE TO BE a drug attic, alcoholic, prostitute,or any sinner that has beeen delivered and transformed by the blood of JESUS and they will tell you that it is real, praise GOD

i was delivered ,thank you JESUS,

    anyone else been delivered?????

  • GOOD FRIDAY....2011....... This song is so awesome.....along with THERE IS A FOUNTAIN by SELAH with a video from the PASSION OF CHRIST.....Sharing it all with my wonderful sisters and brothers in Y'SHUA.....

Isaiah 53:5-6 (New King James Version)

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

  • Love this song, thank you King Jesus!!!!!!

  • Romans 10:9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed. Jesus died for your sins too.

  • @cjipcs What about Exodus 34?

You've got a second set of the Ten Commandments there. The part about boiling a kid in his mother's milk is especially disturbing as the tenth commandment.

So why don't we have THOSE commandments on courtroom walls? This secondary batch came AFTER God's first batch, so you'd think that it'd be FAR superior?

    It's not, it's fucking stupid.

Besides, I don't think Romans has any real merit. Paul IMMEDIATELY talks about the legal status of your snipped penis. Really.

  • i'm so glad the Blood of Christ can make me a friend of God!!!! lastnight at youth/college group i fell to my face and cried like a babe cuz i was so hurt from life and all that, i gave God the keys to my life and i'm watching him take the smoking away and the unsureness of my marriage. thank you God for sending my King Jesus to set me free!

  • The Bible dose not contradict itself; The Gospels for example: Here you have 4 different authors looking at the same thing in 4 different ways; OK You have a house fire 4 different people writing about it from 4 diff. sides of the house; One person is a Dr. The other a Tax collector, One just there to write about the fire, and last one just loves fire; All 4 men would write about the same fire, but in 4 different views, but all are correct. Same with the Gospels.

  • @cjipcs Well, the Resurrection details were ALL different in EVERY Gospel.

That's....... Pretty fucking important. They all told TOTALLY different stories about Jesus' death and resurrection, who witnessed it and WHEN....

That sounds suspicious. And really, let's just think things through.

Were the Disciples of Jesus a bizarre Jewish cult living at a time when bizarre religious cults were everywhere? Yes.

Were they doctors? Nope. Philosophers? Nope.

    Easily impressed and gullible? Yes.

  • @GoodAvatar matt 28:1-10 mark 16:1-8 luke 24:1-8 all 3 accounts from women writen by men. its like this luke a doctor was more interested in the womens full account remeber this is like an interigation these women are claiming some major stuff. so luke shows 2 men in matt its one man outside he was a tax collector by trade, he wrote about the one outside and mark the one on the inside. does this make the accounts untrue? No we now know that no 2 ppl feel or see the same event exactly the same.

  • @River101010 You dodged my statement again.

All of the details of the Resurrection are ALL completely different.

That's not only suspicious, it's almost as though the Bible was TELLING exactly how Jesus evolved from a weird, anti-authoritarian Jewish cult leader into a mythical pacifistic demi-god who went on vision quests, performed crappy and unprovable miracles(water to wine, walking on water) who was God but not God and was in fact the son of God(himself).

    It's so bizarre it's comical.

  • @GoodAvatar how? the stone was rolled away in all 3 the angel(s) are in all 3 accounts. as for anti-authoritarian, you missed the part where Jesus says give cesar what is his and God what is His.

  • @River101010 You.... You just picked the stone rolled away as some kind of proof?

What about the Earth shaking and the dead coming back to life and greeting each other like some sort of odd, Jewish Zombiefest that got out of control?

It's damned odd that the Roman scribes(attached to the local Roman garrison in charge of keeping order) didn't bother to write down that the DEAD STARTED WALKING......

That's not even touching WHO saw Jesus first, WHEN he was cruxed, WHAT happened.

    It's a mess

  • @GoodAvatar There are indeed external evidences for Christ's crucifixion--the dead rising, the earth shaking, and the eclipse. A man named Josephus was a Jewish historian for the Romans, who were obsessed about the history of their superiority. It makes sense that they wanted everything documented. This historian wrote about Christ's prophecies, miracles, death, burial, and resurrection. There is also Thalus, Flagon, Tacitus, and others who wrote about the events surrounding Christ crucifixion.

  • @PheonixHeart1974 So Josephus, who was born AFTER Jesus's supposed life and death and recorded events told to him by superstitious, uneducated peasants later......

What did HE have to say about all of Jesus's miracles?

He didn't WITNESS anything, he just discussed the various beliefs these new-fangled Christians were endorsing.

Regardless, even if he DID see miracles(he didn't), how does that differ from people who get abducted by UFO's or think Hurricane Katrina was "God's Will"??

  • @GoodAvatar Both Matthew and John were eye witnesses of the crucifixion. Mark traveled with the eyewitnesses and Luke was both a physician and a historian who carefully investigated these events. How is it when a Roman historian writes of Caesar crossing the Rubicon at least 110 years after the event, it is counted as reliable. But when Josephus, who writes of the crucifixion events, it's superstitious? A man named Thallus wrote of the eclipse and another historian refers to him while speaking

  • @GoodAvatar of the eclipse during Christ's crucifixion. Also, Phlegon provides powerful confirmation of the gospel accounts. He identifies the year and the exact time of day.

  • @PheonixHeart1974 And the Zombies that rose from the grave to greet their friends and family?

Nobody seems to take that part terribly seriously.

  • @GoodAvatar 1 Corinthians 1:18-20 (New King James Version)

Christ the Power and Wisdom of God

18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written: “ I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”[a]

20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

  • @pepsiprincess48033 You DO realize that you just quoted a book with talking snakes in it, right?

Serpents with vocal chords don't exist. There's a very good reason for that. That kinda wrecks any validity the Bible has, because that silly ass myth is taken SERIOUSLY.

    So, the Bible's a BS document. :-)

  • @GoodAvatar I don't mean to offend you, since I know that you are quite a rational human being. I can understand how someone would look at the Bible and laugh, throwing it into the nearest trash bin. But there's so many key facts that lie behind the Bible's authenticity. I have five, but there are many more. Would you like me to message them to you? They consist of the evidences of archeology, of influence, of prophecies, of manuscripts, and of the authors. It's quite interesting.

  • @WolfGirl147 "It's quite interesting."

I completely agree. It IS quite interesting. I would never, ever say otherwise.

It's just not accurate or truthful. It's a document that was created during the infancy of our species, crafted by a group of Bronze and Iron Age thugs to allow for easier tyrannical control.

It's NOT a document of truth, or seriousness, or academic inquiry. It's a Myth Book, like dozens of others, including the Quran and the Baghavad Gita.

    Your evil religion isn't special.

  • @GoodAvatar Wait, wait... that's not what I meant. Yes, the Bible is incredibly interesting. But I'm referring to the evidences I have of its authenticity. THOSE are the interesting things. Please, could I share them with you? I don't have room to place all five of them here, but I could send them to you in a message.

  • @WolfGirl147 "the evidences I have of its authenticity"

There IS no authenticity to the Bible. It's NOT historically accurate.... It occasionally gets the right people, places, events and times correct..... But a LOT of Fictional books do that.

The Bible isn't special in that regard at all.

And if it wanted to be taken seriously, the first few chapters shouldn't have talking snakes and global floods in it.

The creation story isn't true, nor is the God murdering the World by drowning story.

  • @GoodAvatar so you cant say just because one says one inside one outside and one 2 at the door that its suspicious. look at 9/11 tapes people feel and see that even differently even if its the same event. a doctor is going to be more exact about what he sees then a tax collect, also the death of Christ is again close to the same, if these accounts were exactly the same you could claim that they sat in a room and all wrote out the books side by side.

  • @River101010 "look at 9/11 tapes"

It's funny that you bring THAT up... That actually speaks to MY side of the argument.

Because there are people who say they saw the most insanely impossible things about 9/11 that we KNOW didn't happen. Like flying saucers and digitally constructed aircraft....

Those people CAN believe whatever they want to. However, those people are usually just crazy, delusional, or scam artists.

2000 years ago, you think people appreciated that?

    Superstitious cults?

  • I love this song! my church sings it a lot! (:

  • I just LOVE this song!!! Thank you so much for posting it!!!

  • I just LOVE this song!!! Thank you so much for posting it!!!

  • Despite all the conflict below my comment...this song is beautiful God bless!

  • First, why would you look up an AMAZING video to just call people stupid, for disagreeing with you on your beliefs.

Second, God does NOT contradict himself.

If you don't believe in Christianity, don't call people stupid because they do. Don't look up videos just to trash their beliefs. Thank you.

  • @kathleenmay513 "If you don't believe in Christianity, don't call people stupid because they do"

Well, what if I were calling them stupid because they were.... Oh, I don't know.... Stupid?

Aren't you Christians supposed to put a lot of stock in honesty and integrity?

What do YOU traditionally do when you catch your pastor or church buddy lying about the Bible and making up whatever suits their prejudice?

I'd personally bet that you don't do anything.

Like MOST Sunday School Christians. :-)

  • @GoodAvatar You believe what you want to believe; nobody's messing with yours, so stop insulting ours.

My pastor, has never lied about the Bible, I don't know what church you're talking about, but in mine, we personally follow along to make sure everything he says is legit.

  • @kathleenmay513 Of COURSE you Christians fuck with me, you come to my door all the time.

You can't even get your afterlives or your GOD straight, fer cryin' out loud.

But you LOVES YOU SOME JESUS, right?

I mean.... Have you even READ your Bible? Do you know how horrible it is?

  • @GoodAvatar Christians, actually, are not known for knocking on people's doors all the time. Mormons and Jehovah's witnesses are. (Not the same thing by the way.) And yes, actually i have read it.

  • @kathleenmay513 Uh, yes, actually. Christians of every stripe are always annoying me for the same reasons.

Despite talking a good game about the next life, you guys all want power in this one, over us infidels, if you'd get your druthers. It makes me uneasy.

All you superstitious guys are the same. :-)

    Good try bowing out, though.

  • @GoodAvatar I have no idea what Christians you've been talking to, but that ain't the kind of church i grew up in. And like i said before, don't go looking up a Christian song, to pick a fight. I don't go to abortion videos and start debating with people. I don't go to atheist videos and tell everyone there that they're stupid and need to become a believer, they should. But i do not force my religion on people and you shouldn't either.

  • @kathleenmay513 "I don't go to atheist videos and tell everyone there that they're stupid and need to become a believer"

Maybe YOU don't, but a lot of Christians do.

And they SAY the most horrible things about their fellow mammals. Like how they'll burn when they die.

They also SAY the most absurdly ignorant things and think it's okay, because they're RELIGIOUS.

GOD told them to go bug everyone on Youtube.

Consider this..... eh.... a mild counterattack? :-P

  • @GoodAvatar

There are plenty of terrible fake Christians out there. I'm sorry you've had the misfortune of mostly meeting them. The true Christians are kind, loving, impartial, and generous, because those are the attributes of our God.

  • @Faetre I'm pretty sure THOSE were true Christians as well. I had no reason to doubt them, their actions are pretty consistent with Christianity as a whole.

You guys have just got a LOT of weird, and might I say contradictory, cults.

I mean, Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Anglicans, Eastern Orthodoxy..... The list goes on.

    You're all Christians.

You all support each other politically, you support most basic philosophies, yet your superstitions are almost totally different.

  • @GoodAvatar I'm not saying that there ain't Christians like that out there, but just because some of them do things that they shouldn't doesn't mean that you should do that too. I'm not saying that they should go out and tell people they'll burn when they die. They should go and preach the gospel because that's what's in the Bible for them to do, but they should be a little more tactful while doing that. You talk about how Christians go bugging people, what are you doing right NOW.?

  • @kathleenmay513 I think I got blocked from responding here.

  • @GoodAvatar I believe your current argument is ad hominem . If you want to be taken seriously, try to stop attacking your opponent and attack his argument instead.

Human beings are built to question. Thats how progress in science is made, with continuous questioning of the natural world. Unfortunately, history does not respond well to vigorous questioning, as what it says can not be proved. Thus, belief is required for everything about the past.

  • @701splinter "Unfortunately, history does not respond well to vigorous questioning, as what it says can not be proved. Thus, belief is required for everything about the past."

So...You basically gave yourself permission to believe whatever you want to believe?

    Does that sum up?

Because, you know.... the TRUTH actually MATTERS to ME.

I know that 's a damnably hard position for you Christians to come to grips with, but there's an enormous amount of evidence you HAVE to ignore to stay faithful.

  • @GoodAvatar and @86logic Thta's the Christian walk is a walk of faith... throughout the whole Biblie God constantly reminds to trust in him without trust ... we have nothing so it's all about you, futhermore you can't make anyone one believe. I know God real and Jesus because he he totally changed my life around, his annointing power ... signs and miricles ... Jesus said blessed are those who HAVEN'T seen yet they believe...

  • @youngtsaint Meaning you just made up a lot of complete shit to justify believing in myths that nobody of ANY serious intellect could POSSIBLY take seriously?

And you believe in myths and miracles, too? How is that different from magic?

For that matter, is there a divine plan, or free will?

How would you be able to differentiate between a lie and a truth in the Bible when it says contradictory things?

What's the difference between History and Completely Obvious Lies?

  • Maybe you should as well. You might make a legitimate argument hm?

  • @bob23ization Oh, I'm not after YOU. I'm after everyone reading these comments.

People SHOULD think about this stuff they choose to ignore.

  • You know, I ALSO can't help but notice that nobody corrected me on Odin's rainbow.

It's supposed to be NOAH's rainbow according to your superstitions.

Jesus, you people really need to read your fucking Bible.

  • Remember everyone! Odin loves each of you, deeply and personally. At least with that god, you can see Odin's miracle of the Rainbow, which he granted to all of us to give us beauty in dark moments!

And Odin is REAL, and he's LOVE to have a DEEP, TOUCHING, PERSONAL relationship with you, but he's FAR too busy killing Frost Giants and plotting Ragnarok.

Who are ANY of you to judge Odin False! HE sacrifices DAILY to ensure that Jormungar doesn't eat us all when the World Serpent awakens!

  • @GoodAvatar Your arguments against miracles and the Gospels' reliability are not very cogent. Matthew did not "plagiarize from Luke," otherwise there would be much more consistency than we do find. But, Matthew probably used the same or similar source to Luke called "Q." However, there are places where Matthew and Luke diverge, so Matthew probably used a different source there.

Concerning miracles, you have to appraise them on the strength of the testimony and documents - NOT - your experience.

  • @GoodAvatar So, I say all that to say that the hypothesis that Jesus was raised from the dead does not even depend on the Gospels' reliability. You can have core established facts derived through careful historiography and yet the documents from which you get those facts be generally unreliable.

  • @86logic "You can have core established facts derived through careful historiography"

    Can you name these documents?

Probably not.... because they don't exist. Even if they DID, the miracles described are insanely absurd and petty for a demi god.

Even if The Bible as totally accurate(it's not at all), God is SUCH a murderous thug. He's not worthy of worship! Why are you pretending that he is??

  • @GoodAvatar These documents are of course the Gospels, the oldest testimony about the words and deeds of Jesus. I claimed that, even if the Gospels are generally unreliable, through careful historiography, you can have core established facts. Take, for example, the historian Plutarch who writes at the turn of the first century C.E. about Alexander, who lived during the 4th century B.C.E. That's almost 4-5 generations of gap! The Gospels barely have 1, yet Plutarch's is basically reliable.

  • @86logic Okay, so basically what you're saying is that you're easily impressed by a bunch of ancient writings about Gods and monsters with no proof to back it up?

Do you see why Christianity is HILARIOUS?? If people didn't ACTUALLY believe this nonsense you twits believe, this would be the funniest cosmic joke EVER that billions of people believe this crap.

Basically intelligent people will believe COMPLETE lies for NO REAL REASON. It's just incredible.

  • @GoodAvatar You've obviously never read Plutarch and his "Life of Alexander." There's no "Gods" and "monsters" there - just Alexander, who was a monster in a metaphorical sense, I suppose. And virtually all historians, Christians and non-Christians, recognize the general reliability of Plutarch's biography on Alexander, although there are exaggerations and legendary accretions. But, with care, historians have peeled away the legendary accretions to find the historical core.

  • @86logic Ummmm.... Have you READ Revelations? There are plenty of monsters and demons and angels and genocides. It's overflowing with supernatural garbage! :-P

It's like an ACID TRIP, gone horribly awry!

What about the Old Testament? That's like reading a nightmare story from Ares' playbook.

  • @GoodAvatar And yet you fail to recognize that the book of Revelation is apocalyptic literature, so "colorful imagery" of monsters and such is common to apocalyptic writings - they're symbolic imagery to portray a literal truth. Also, speaking of the Old Testament, I'm about to read a book called "Is God a Moral Monster?" by Paul Copan, and with philosophy, theology, and history under his belt, he surveys the OT passages about genocide and concludes that God is "NOT" a moral monster. Read it!

  • @86logic Uh, No. I'm going to judge your God from his actions in the Bible alone.

You know, the really despicable ones.

  • @GoodAvatar And so, you can peel away to find the historical core in the Gospels concerning the death and resurrection accounts of Jesus, and what you find is a strong historical core of facts that undergird the hypothesis that Jesus of Nazareth was raised from the dead.

  • @86logic Oh, You mean, was there some guy named Jesus floating around the early Middle East and speaking eccentric bits and pieces of anti-authoritarian pseudo-wisdom mixed with total drivel?

Sure, I could believe THAT.... There were ZOUNDS of religious nuts at that time, if you'll recall, so one more really wouldn't be that impressive.

But he wound up dying and none of his prophecies ever occurred and Christianity warped into something European centric.

    Christianity evolved. (lol)

  • @GoodAvatar And yet he is the "religious nut" who started a mass explosion of a following in the first century, and it is alive and kicking today (i.e. Christianity). There were messianic proclaimers before Jesus and there messianic proclaimers after Jesus. When their founder died, their movements often died with him, or the brother would take over the movement, after which the movement would die. But, it was differently with Jesus....

  • @86logic Sure, I'll buy that historical summation of Christianity.

Christianity IS a religion. It's just a false one. Like all the others. *shrugs*

Your magic beliefs ain't special to Odin or Thor believers. :-P

  • @GoodAvatar But, my question is, what plausible reason exists for Christianity to flourish even to this day, while all the other messianic movements before and after Jesus practically died with their founder?

  • @86logic Their lie is better and more versatile.

It's scary as hell to think that we're just gonna DIE.

But We Will. Christianity just has a particularly convincing lie, for some reason.

Even as a kid, I noticed that Christian mythology is just.... visibly nonsensical and lying about it.

  • @86logic PLUS, the Catholic Church mutated a lot of the themes of Christianity to back up it's imperial goals. It basically combined the Latinate cultures to the Germanic/Hunnish cultures, and the resulting mess was a Chivalric Warrior Monotheism we all know called Christianity.

Then, the only people who were educated enough to read what Jesus said were far more interested in stultifying children and changing history for power.

Hey, that kinda sounds like what's happening TODAY, doesn't it?

  • @GoodAvatar I don't think you know that we have manuscripts of the Bible (in many cases, complete ones) that pre-date the rise of the Catholic imperialistic age. It's virtually unchanged when stacked with the later manuscripts during the reign of the Catholic church.

I honestly do not know where you get your information about Christianity and the Bible from, but you are way off base in many respects.

  • @86logic Sure, I'm willing to admit that I could be wrong or my information could be faulty. I COULD be wrong.

But let me ask you this?

Are you willing to admit that YOU could be wrong? *shrugs* Most Christians are even momentarily willing to consider that they might have been hornswaggled their entire lives. So I think I'm on the right heading, while most people are stuck on "Goddidit".

And please admit that if you DON'T believe the Bible is accurate, the stories and myths are pretty stupid?

  • @86logic Come on, fess up. Admit it.

If you don't believe the Bible is real, the miracles are CLEARLY fake, petty and rather foolish, aren't they?

Recall, we're talking a hypothetical here. Suppose someone DOES NOT believe that the Bible is any more real than Odin's Runic Spellbook,

Would the sun stopping in the sky make any sense?

Would there be a global flood with no proof?

    Do snakes have vocal chords?

And by the way, what's Miraculous about making lunch for 5000 people? Silly miracle

  • @GoodAvatar If we're arguing about whether or not something is true, how it sounds (silly or impressive) is irrelevant to that discussion. I'm sure Relativity Theory sounded very bizarre to other scientists of classical mechanics persuasion. What eventually won was the evidence.

  • @86logic Correct. And there's not a shred of evidence to suggest that the Bible is in any way an accurate retelling of history.

However, there's a MOUNTAIN of evidence against it.

So yes, I DO follow the evidence to it's logical conclusion.
