  • People are stupid. All of the protestors should have been arrested. If people want to join the army let them they have a right to serve the u.s.

  • Everyone in there is fucking retarded, Why be against war yet live in America. AMERICA WAS MADE BY WAR!!! Fucking idiots -.-

  • i went there as a 13 year old boy and it was cool, lots of games and other things

  • I Cant Believe They Shut This Place Down. I Really Wanted To Go But it Has Been Ruined By A Bunch Of People Who Dont Wont There Children To Join.

  • and how bout you zip up your ACU top and wear your headgear outside staff sergeant

  • either they go to the mall and play a educational game or stay at home and play call of duty. take your pick

  • i wish i was there to support them!!!

    good work

  • shut the fuck up you make the decision if you join or not. its just a game. you guys are dumb ass fuck to protest for nothing. their not advertising war any ways they are just showing what the army is all about .

  • I dont think anyone in that rally has ever "Experienced" the army experience center. Because to be honest, its about getting kids off the street, and helping them with thier future. But I bet those same people went to get an autograph from Brad Lidge at the AEC yesterday. I would rather watch a teen die fighting for thier country nobley, than smoking and drinking till they die of cancer, or homicide.

  • I have no idea why you want to shut this down. When I look at dumb teenagers texting and saying "OMG" and "like", hundreds of times in thier conversations, it tells me the teens are trapped in a cotton candy world of happiness. More student are failing, doing drugs, and drinking more than ever. The army experience center is a great place. It wakes up teens, and shows them the real world is all about. It makes men out of boys. War will always attract young people, with or without this center.

  • Technology will eventually eliminate war where PEOPLE die. The idea here is that we are moving away from people killing people to machines killing machines. I'm all for that. We now have remote controlled planes and the pilot goes home to his family every night.

If you guys hate technology so much, get off the internet and go back to mailing letters to each other.

  • ok i went there and they were not encouraging us to join, they want to help us get off the street and go to college, they changed my life and if you assholes want to shut it down because they have video games? think of other people and not yourselves.

  • Fck you! Where's the souport? I risk my life for my country and this is the thanks us vets get. Honestly?

  • No one in this video said "hey fuck you vets" In fact I'd place money that most people support you but not war... they're saying that the experience center makes it seem like war is okay, fun, easy, and a good way to get things done. Its tricking children into joining the army.

  • wow this is the experience center i got to if they shut it down ill be pissed

  • you people are bitches. theres recruitment centers everywhere. joining the military is one's own personal choice nomatter how many recruitment centers there are.

  • of course war is not a game, but games are the closest thing u can show to kids besides the footages, which they have access 2!!! AND for the first things that peace loving wanker said was, the army is entising young people to fight, WHO ELSE IS going to fight future wars!!!!!! the young people!!!! liike wtf, its been like this 4ever??!!!!1

  • instead of simulations where you have the upper hand, how about running the sims like Sarajevo, where you can see your comrades blown to shreds while at market or a funeral. War rocks

  • War is too profitable, it's a business, a very addictive one.

  • What I see is alot of lost souls. Derelict, lowlife scum protesting to simply to fill the gap in their empty, worthless lives. It's all to make them feel imagined self-worth for their worthlessness. In truth they are the stoolies for powers which would certainly see to their demise when the "dirty work" is done. Prove me wrong.

  • its my ass crack. STFU! jesus. its not RECRUTING People, its fucking getting kids off the street assholes

  • It is child abuse to encourage children in this way...

  • I will be there this saturday Sept 12th....but not to protest....Im going to support the AEC

  • When my father was killed at war, in one of his pocket was a tiny tin soldier that my brother ( 3 yrs old) had put in as he said good bye.His body came back home and so did the little "toy"which I have now.. The war: WW2. My father defended his country against the German invasion. He left his wife and 3 young children behind. Wounds of wars last a life time and never heal. War is not a game. Those we call "Heroes" are tears in the hearts of the ones left behind!

  • Yeah You get 5 kills you get an air-strike. Just be careful. Those re-spawn points can be a bitch.

  • dumass hippies

  • you people are assholes this place gives kids a place to hang out ive been there so many times and never herd anything about joining the army instead of becoming a drug dealer I have something to do you people should get a life

  • liar

  • Screw all you hippie freaks do somethig with your life and join the Army. Men and women die for this country have some respect and stop protesting you assholes all you vets that are in this viedo and that are apart of this protest should be disgraced to have ever woren the uniform. Im glad to serve this country Army experience rules. You are just like the communiest Abbie Hoffman

  • Actually, O'Doyle rules.

  • Gandhi once said, "If you want peace, begin with the children". I suppose the Army feels the same about wanting war.

  • Wanting war. Don't go crying when there is no one there to protect you.

  • The Army is not protecting me now. They are protecting the financial interests of corporations by spreading death and fear.

  • Never said they were.

  • I guess I'm seeing things because it's right above my comment with your user name.

  • Yes you are seeing things.

  • So you did not write-

"Wanting war. Don't go crying when there is no one there to protect you."

Because, if you did not, someone has your login info, I'm pretty sure.

  • Well, I see you agree with me then, the uneducated kid, makes things simple, no matter what you want there will always be war, no matter what they try to make anyone think. So i really see all this as pointless, trying so hard to make a point come across to the young people, by calling them uneducated, and its not really a great tactic. If one approach does not work, why not try something different, im sure you can come up with something better than that.

  • We've been quite successful- more than 30 personal testimonials from kids who tell us that what they were able to learn, from the information we directed them to, kept them from signing up. We can't educate those who don't want to know- those like you from families with a long line of military service- families who have already indoctrinated you that it is what you will do when you are old enough. We concentrate on the kids that are still trying to decide if it is the right choice for them.

  • I have no military background at all, just to compare there are about 30 people in my school class, never thought them not joining the military would automatically make so many stop and make world peice, but i can see how that would make you think its a good start, but for each 1 one that you convince not to join the military, imagine how many are joining.

  • "never thought them not joining the military would automatically make so many stop and make world peice"-

I'm sorry, but I've wasted enough of my life arguing with someone who would actually click POST COMMENT after typing the above quote in parentheses. I'm surprised you know how to turn on a computer. I've read it three times, and it's not sensible. Good luck in your life. You'll make a fine latrine scrubber. Hoooah!

  • You sound like a great role model btw, your way of getting the youth to follow you is to act like a child, why dont you grow up, and stop feeling so angry at the world for a few incidents, im honestly not trying to seem like a smart a, but why dont you just see some counseling, thats not a joke im serious.

  • Oh. You come from a long line of military members, including your father. Don't lie.

  • Dont try to play games with me, I was an immigrant from Venezuela, and just got my residency, no one in my family has joined the military, dont try to pretend you know me.

  • Like the guy in the suit that thinks he knows about the law. I guess he didn't hear about the Supreme court case "Prune Yard Shopping Center v. Robins" were the supreme court of the united ruled that people *may* protest in the open areas of a mall.

  • shut up hippies the army exp. is the best

  • Saying video games are bad are just a way of complaining about violence in the world, if video games werent around there would still be these protests, and I disaggree with you Diana there will always be war.

  • Honestly if someone is dumb enough to distinguish the difference between a video game and real war they probably won't make it into the Army for one of several reasons. Also if they are that gullible they probably won't be to successful in the civilian sector either. Inevitably they will end up like these losers protesting some useless cause because they were easily persuaded and misinformed. damn I hate hippies...

  • If all you are interested in is playing the video games then the Army won't bother you about joining. You're right about the fact 'War is not a game' and the AEC or the Army is not using that as selling point.

  • The AEC doesn't use video games to recruit little kids. Have you met any of the people who have enlisted out of the AEC? Ask any of them if they joined because of the free video games and thought real war would be like a video game. Hell if you told one of the soldiers there that's why you wanted to join they would set you straight instantly.

  • It's subconscious. It addition the lure in kids with video games, but in addition they have "Career Center." It's just like a sale item at a store, you lure people in with something, and they stick around and buy more.

  • Great video, great content.

  • Comment removed

  • Is it so bad to want to defend your country? I'm 18 and I think it would serve a purpose to defend something you believe in. Ultimately it is our decision, and i do respect the protests but i do not think it at all influences what most kids will do, If they want to join they will join. Arent we anyways all animals at heart, there will always be war.

  • What are you defending? What does "your country" mean? Would they join if there were any jobs or if higher education were free? There will not always be war.

  • I wanted to be in the Military since before i was grown up, I Love my country, so get a life and support me a Soldier.

  • You should not join the military. You are a defeatist and have already accepted endless war. The military needs hopeful, promising young people- not defeatists who think there is no point in peace.

  • Its sad that so many like you want peace, and of course you are saying that the military needs promising young people to spread death as you say, but im sorry to say it will never be a peaceful earth, there will always be rising tentions.

  • because there will always be uneducated kids like you who are oh so anxious to believe that you have sworn enemies; when your only real enemy is the politician who sends you off to kill and die, while lying to you about the reasons you're going. I guess its evolution, really. Why should the military increase incentives, when kids like you can be brainwashed and taught weapons more easily than a free thinking intelligent young person whose harder to brainwash?

  • I respect the opinions & rights of protestors but this isn't that insidious. Video games are a part of our culture. Almost every commercial brand is creating game related content. It's what people enjoy. We'd have quite a low opinion of our kids and parents to believe they can't distinguish b/w games and reality. Pepsi tells you it tastes great and leaves out the obesity part. The Army is showcasing its attributes in a contemporary way. I voice my antiwar feelings to politicians, not Soldiers.

  • Video games are apart of our culture for sure and I for one love playing video games.

However the problem is the Army is using video games like a bribe to kids who would not look at war objectionably due to them playing such fun war video games.

As the people in this video said, the Army is glorifying war and yes, kids don't know better. This is no different than the cigarettes advertising to minors. The government shut down that as children didn't know better.

  • great video.... stop the death machine!

  • Awesome! We've got a piece up on this demonstration at PhillyIMC (dot) org.

  • War is not a game. Shut down this AEC and prevent their proliferation. We must protect our children.

  • I was there! That;s the way it was. Now--to keep 'em closed down.
