Actually they were not booted off the stage at Eagles concert. Most of the Eagles fans were very disgruntled right wingers and wanted the old Eagles. If you read amazon reviews for The Long Road Out of Eden they too like the Chicks were not found of the liberal left stance old Don wrote about and expressed in alot of the songs so hence the low turnout of sales. I was angered when Lennon said Beatles were bigger than Jesus but remained a fan of the music just as I am still with DCHX and Eagles

The Eagles Rep was quoted as saying they were selling out venues until the DC's joined the show. I believe the DC's were testing the waters, and found that even with the support of some music icons, they couldn't draw a crowd. Their next move? Play some benefits. They might as well, they aren't getting invited anywhere else, and won't risk their own $ for a tour.

This is such a beautiful song, one of so many on this incredible album. I'm very picky and I still say this is the best album of the past decade. I mean it ranks up there with stuff like Dark Side and Abbey to me. I don't care what genre you care for - this is just wonderfully written, beautifully sung, simple but brilliant, artistry. Natalie didn't meet the minimum requirement for even an honorary degree from Berklee School of Music. To receive one, you have to attend at least one semester. She didn't. While the school made a big deal of giving her one, they were very quiet about rescinding her degree. She is now listed as "alumna" even though she never attended a class there. So much for academic integrity.

Actually they were not booted off the stage at Eagles concert. Most of the Eagles fans were very disgruntled right wingers and wanted the old Eagles. If you read amazon reviews for The Long Road Out of Eden they too like the Chicks were not found of the liberal left stance old Don wrote about and expressed in alot of the songs so hence the low turnout of sales. I was angered when Lennon said Beatles were bigger than Jesus but remained a fan of the music just as I am still with DCHX and Eagles

The Eagles Rep was quoted as saying they were selling out venues until the DC's joined the show. I believe the DC's were testing the waters, and found that even with the support of some music icons, they couldn't draw a crowd. Their next move? Play some benefits. They might as well, they aren't getting invited anywhere else, and won't risk their own $ for a tour.

This is such a beautiful song, one of so many on this incredible album. I'm very picky and I still say this is the best album of the past decade. I mean it ranks up there with stuff like Dark Side and Abbey to me. I don't care what genre you care for - this is just wonderfully written, beautifully sung, simple but brilliant, artistry. It's timeless. I continue to get goose bumps as I did the first time I listened to it.
I sure hope the Dixie Chicks are writing more songs!

So the chords of the song are the same but she plays are Em, D, Cadd9, G whilst the other guitarist plays the chords I mentioned. Due to the CAPO change in position they play the same chords but in different shapes (because his chords are hard to play and sing at the same time). Genius.

That's how they get the Syncopated rhythm of the verse intro. The song starts with the A4sus2 then to the A on the "up stroke of the second beat of each bar. I investigated, and found nearly everything they said was a twist in their favor, ie a Red Cross "donation" that never was, inciting reporters and personally claiming multiple threats when they really only received one, and it was lame, implying they got no airplay when stations that would have NEVER played a C&W song put them in rotation all over the country due to the controversy.

So too would the money from the DVD sales. After doing their live performance, they were one of only two performers who refused to let their performance be on the DVD. Natalie didn't meet the minimum requirement for even an honorary degree from Berklee School of Music. To receive one, you have to attend at least one semester. She didn't. While the school made a big deal of giving her one, they were very quiet about rescinding her degree. She is now listed as "alumna" even though she never attended a class there. So much for academic integrity.
