this film reminds me of Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller. a bunch of young people that seem happy but then their darker sides emerge leading to a hopeful ending. Plus Liv Tyler is really tasty in it.

I heard in the sequel Warren gets out of prison and is so excited to get to go back to Empire Records to start his new job , he had been waiting 7 years in prison for this day but when he gets there they are out of business and then he learns about something called Mp3s he tries to call all the ex employees but none of them remember who is is.

I got the unrated version of this movie last week and watched it four times in a row...and again the next day. I yet still need to watch Allan Moyle's 'Wierdsville' and 'Pump up the Volume.'...but Empire Records is still the best movie of the 90's...possibly the graetest movie period. lol.

I really love this movie too. I just watched the Re-mix fan version on dvd, and there are tons of scenes added to it. I also did a little research and at the time the actor playing Berko (Coyote Shivers) was married to Liv Tyler's mom, and Liv and Johnny Whitmore (A.J.) were actually dating.

This little movie deserved a LOT more attention than it got. Personally? I feel it's the "FastTimes at Ridgemont High" of the 90's... It's TIME will come, again...and hopefully in a big way.
