@Gustavling Duct tape equals dampening, which drum heads don't provide. It's a well-known practice. They also sell things like moongel, or O-Rings to dampen the sound of the drum even more. And there's no such thing as "good heads," every head has its advantages and disadvantages, and whatever head you use is completely up to you.

I always appreciate drum lesson videos.

Tip: If you play the flam tighter, with the grace note a little closer the start of the paradiddle, and with the grace note very low and quiet, you'll be able to play this rudiment, or any flamed rudiment with ease at higher tempos.

Um, i dont know where you learned to play, but the RRLR and/or LRLL rhythm makes it a paradiddle. Shows how good of a drummer u are. I bet your still working on your buzz rolls.
