Performance E36ers can start with a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. It can add up to 11HP for only about $150 and installs in 30-45 minutes - really a must for every E36 owner. It also makes the car HOWL at high end but sounds normal at everyday driving. See my videos!
@6644190 You will do no harm by not resetting the oil light. However, if you wish to reset the light, we sell a tool called the Peake FCX3 BMW Code Reset Tool. Visit our site and look under "Tools and Accessories" for more information.
@AutoWerksofAmerica tnx dude,,,i need ur help..i've BMW 7 series 750i i need engine number..could u plz tell me how would i find this with our scaner.??????
@6644190 Actually, the easiest way to find the engine number is to look on the engine. It is imprinted on the block in all cases. The following link is a pdf from BMW that shows the engine number location on many BMW model: ge39.com/files/zeigeinfo.pdf
The parts for this car (oil filter kit & drain plug gasket) are under $10 at AutoWerksofAmerica. Add the oil, obtained locally for $15-$30 and you save a lot of money for just a few minutes work.

Change the oil. You should have no ill effects if you change your oil and install a new filter. I wouldn't drive the car with the ATF in the engine.

What if you accidentally poured transmission fluid down the tube where the oil dipstick is at? What should I do? Thanks
P.S. my car is a 1997 BMW 328I (automatic)

they will charge you $250 at the dealer for this simple job.

@aleksankazakov You're right, it's extremely simple! I would say it's easier to change the oil and filter on a Beamer than most American cars.
