I first tried a Castlevania game: I was looking at an issue of Nintendo Power (2001) dedicated to the GBA, and saw only a map layout. I thought to myself, this looks similar to Super Metroid. Will I like this just as much? Now owns a copy of Circle of the Moon and Castlevania Double Pack with Aria of Sorrow and Harmony of Dissonance.Sad thing is, I was late to the party by four years as I first tried "Metroidvania" in 2005. Now I need to go to where it all started, Symphony of the Night.

It was certainly a change in difficulty from SOTN and I think Dracula and the Twin Dragons were the toughest of the bosses. LOL, even the first boss Cerebus was a tough nut to crack!

This was my first ever Castlevania. While it is not my favourite, I thought it was a lot better than Harmony of Dissonance, and I find it nearly tied with Aria of Sorrow. I kind of preferred Aria of Sorrow, but the music of this game is just unreal!
