I am so surprised by the amount of negative comments here. If you crash your car is it the auto maker's fault for not teaching you how to drive it?? Why must people blame others for their own stupidity? Because they are, in fact, stupid.

I have one of these and I'm planning to return it. Alesis has done a very poor job of providing a solid "quick start" video or any sort of tutorial. The girl is beautiful and sings like an angel, but Alesis is hoping she will bewitch us into thinking we need to figure it all out for ourselves. Sorry, don't have that kind of time. You know they have the knowledge, they seem unwilling to make the effort of sharing it. Very disappointing, Alesis.
No audio from the headphones, for one. There is probably a simple solution to that, but the point is I would like a video tutorial that just walks you through it. I don't have the luxury of time. If I have to stop for some reason, it may be days before I can get back to it. I want something as easy to apply as you make it sound.

Wait... you need a video to show you how to plug in headphones? Or how to turn a volume knob? Or did you not know about the knob, despite the fact that it's RIGHT NEXT TO THE HEADPHONE JACK and there's a LINE DRAWN from the knob to the jack? Did you even LOOK at it before giving up? There's only so simple something can get. If you can't operate headphones, you'll never be able to operate a DAW.

@jerseystringer iO Dock is designed to work with virtually any music app, so setup and configuration is different from app to app. Once you plug your gear into the iO Dock, the app should have a way of seeing it. If you're stuck and it looks like the hardware isn't working, give our support team a call. They can tell if your issue is hardware or software pretty easily.
@jerseystringer If u dont have the time to sort it out and learn it yourself, what makes you think they have the time to show u? Most audio devices dont have manuals. You shouldnt buy this kinda product if you dont know what it does or how to work it. If you are willing to learn you would have already. Dont blame anyone else. Dissapointed in how easily ppl give up. Please return it, ur not worthy of it.

Creativity IOdock to create and perfect! Now you just need to invent the Idock keibord.
A controller with slot to put the Iphone ergonomically, so we have a perfect worksation and low cost.
Create it before others do.

Figure what out? You plug in an instrument and/or mic and press record. What part are you having trouble with?
