Ha, I think this is actually kind of funny because not all American schools are like that. Most of them don't even have a show choir. I hadn't even herd of show choir untill Glee, I was just used to the regular choir where you just sing and standstill. I wish high school was like High School Musical though, it'd me a lot more glamorous and enjoyable.

@Edisonsoccer11 Same here. I hadn't heard of a show choir until Glee. My high school has a couple different kinds of choirs, but no show choir. Would be nice if it did, though (not that I would've joined it, but still...).

They are way over glorifying American High schools. lol Show Choirs are only popular in schools that have well funded arts programs. Now normal choirs. Those are everywhere. And less geeky. (In the eyes of non-theater-nerd students anyway.)

However we may think that show choir is the in-thing modern school-activity, we shouldn't dampen europe's choir. their harmonics and techniques are just astounding. i love both and godbless performing arts.

I went to John Burroughs! High school was one of the best times of my life. I was even choir president! Lots of stress, but I wouldn't trade the experience for the world.
