@hawker800FO What do you mean? USAF has several Russian build fighters for training. The latest purchase were 2 SU-27 from Ukraine. So, there are Russian build fighters in American skies.
@hawker800FO If you want ppl to not misunderstand you, then you have to be more specific. You didn't mention airshows. You mentioned skies. And I am not some kind of mentalist to guess what you might MEANT.
In fact Russian build fighters were in American skies not only as part of USAF for training. In 1992 Russian Air Force sent SU-27s to participate in joint exercises, where SU-27 kicked F-15s asses at Langey base... twice!
@hawker800FO Furthermore, MiG-15, MiG-17 and MiG-21 participated in Chino Airshow 2008 and 2010 and in McChord AFB Airshow 2010. Nellis 2006, Arizona 2005/2006, Michigan 2005/2006. In fact there must have been at least 30 air shows in US where Russian build fighters already participated since 2002. And very soon MiG-29 of the Historic Flight Foundation in Seattle will join other MiGs in US air shows.
