John Mayer is actually a very good guitarist. He has mucho skills. But two things make me never want to listen to him.

1. 90% of his music sucks...hard.

2. 90% of his fans are musically illiterate douchebags, and sarcastic videos like this only illustrate that fact more.

First of all, John is not a a rich kid from Connecticut, his parents were teachers on a middle class wage. And he worked for his first real strat at a gas station after high school. And lessons? WTF. John Mayer has more soul than any young artist out there. He's a Genius! You do not teach that.

hahahaha! I get it! Actually, I think it is funny as hell. I heard the original JM "shred" video and flat out didn't get cause I KNOW JM's music and I would NEVER expect him to "shred" anyway, but mostly because the guitar playing wasn't THAT bad. Here, the guitar is so BAD I finally paid enough attention (I'm snacking and watching regular TV) that it was like a hammer to the head- it's a joke! FUNNY!
