It's backside, because he is doing a BACKSIDE board slide. A frontside would be a FRONTSIDE board slide. Lip slide simply means you do a board slide and bring your tail over the rail.

@DaftandDirekt No, as you can see you approach the rail with it in front of you. If the rail was behind you on your heelside it'd be backside.
