We had a pet racoon when I was a teenager in Green Camp, Ohio. His name was Ringtail. We teased it by giving it a lump of brown sugar. When he went to the dog's water dish to wash it;the lump disintegrated. He went nuts,scraping the bottom of the bowl for the sugar.My mom eventually took it out of town and dumped it.Nice coon.Still miss him after 40+ years.

But i think the abandoned wildlife is disregarded and left to just die.

I have taken my raccoon for distemper,rabies and any car they need.

I let them go on my 60 acres with a stream and they are happy there.

@ourvinylcollection that actually took like 4 thousand years to get dogs to recognize human manerisms. such as recognizing hands geastures and facial expressions as well as poture and tone recognition. try getting a wild dog to understaqnd hand gestures is pretty well impossible and i doubt you could get anything more than a pavlonian response from a racoon.
