i've never seen a statistic on how illegal immigrants would vote in an election, so we can't assume that they will vote democrat. also, asuuming that illegal immigrants do become citizens and vote for democrats imply that republican policies are irrelevant to the increasingly diverse american society. we won't have one-party system because even then, people will disagree....only difference is that by that time, relevant issues will be different.

Here I thought I would find an intellectual argument... O'Reilly is right in the fact that if we nationalize all illegal immigrants it would shift the power balance to the democrats. Yes, they do have these types of discussions behind doors. (however I doubt the rooms are smoked filled.) Both Parties do this. Isn't that obvious. I mean if you want to maintain your political office you would look to find ways to maximize your voters.

I completely agree with the closed doors; TYT is naive if it believes US politics are transparent.
And I think that the argument can be made that certain immigrant factions tend to vote Democrat (although I don't have the statistics to either prove/disprove this).
However, I'm wondering if you actually agree with O'Reilly that the downfall of the GOP would turn America into a single-party nation.

I do think O'Reilly does exaggerate a bit. But I do believe that if the illegal immigrants become citizens , there will be too many one sided political races. This would allow some candidates to be complacent. There are a lot of good democrats and good republicans out there and they should each have a fair shot for office.

i've never seen a statistic on how illegal immigrants would vote in an election, so we can't assume that they will vote democrat. also, asuuming that illegal immigrants do become citizens and vote for democrats imply that republican policies are irrelevant to the increasingly diverse american society. we won't have one-party system because even then, people will disagree....only difference is that by that time, relevant issues will be different.

I'm not racist, and I'm fine with immigration, and I don't think that the New York Times or the democrats are plotting some kind of evil immigration one party plot (hell, I'm a liberal), but O'Reilly has a point. The Republican party in ten years could be nonexistant because of immigration...I live in Dallas, TX where immigration is evident and if all the immigrants did become citizens, or even half of them, texas would cease to be a republican state. We need a new party to challenge the democr.

Actually, Billo is often number six, usually about third and has been falling in popularity for more than a year now. Last year at this point his numbers were, percentage wise, ten points higher than they are now. People are getting very tired of his lies and distortions.
