  • Daniel's head=

a.Raised turn= Maybe he has a flush draw

    b. All in= He missed the flush draw, no one goes all in @ King high except AK, but he doesnt have AK otherwise he would be raising @ the flop to build the pot. No Ks, then flush draw. If flush draw, then he must be having a J diamond, in that case, the K on board would be good to protect him against his 7. So its down to if his 7 is strong enough.

Conclusion= screw it. Just do it.

  • @plopsywhopsy

Brilliant work there. Just a small mistake - he has a Jack :P

  • easy call

  • Daniel made so many bad calls, some of them has to be good.

  • Not really that hard of a call to make

  • @lover3344 yea because youre a pro arent you

  • i want that jacket

  • You need to watch how they played there hands before, this fragment is to short to know how daniel is gut feeling was, anyway it was not so spectaculair but it wasnt deff not a easy call to make.

  • Youtube: Where all people knows the true.... Im pretty sure most here poops theirselves before all calling in that situation. But here they feels like gods of poker.

  • 6 guys are freerollers

  • As above I think this is a pretty standard call really.

  • @TheLastFraudster standard call lol thats standard if your a donk right

  • @aur3ll4 Maby not standard, but not to difficult either I think. I know it is always easy for us railers to judge, but what do you think raymer checks behind that flop with? Very unlikely he would do that with Kx or better and there are few to no combinations possible with a deuce in it either. So all that remains is J8 (that he decided not to bet the flop with) , Jx turned into a bluff trying to push him of a chop or a complete bluff. Seems like a call to me.

  • @tommyXBOX360 ah sory im bad in english the first time i looked the video i thought the commentator said raymer bet every street so yeah your right

  • This aint all that good..... Id call it every time but then again i am a donky!

  • raymer has no reason to put daniel on a strong hand based on how the hand was played up until the river. In fact daniels range pretty much only includes an 8, any J or a really weak king. If daniel has a draw I think he's betting the turn most of the time or check/raising the turn. Either way, even if you include draws in Daniels range, it still makes absolutely no sense for raymer to overbet the river with a made hand and hes certainly never making a bet like this with AJ or a K. So he calls

  • @SSSMforlife1 there is no rational reason to make this bet also....it's checked to you, so even a really marginal hand ,l ike bottom pair, can still check the river (in raymer's case)..But here is greg overbetting allin on river after a check, it means that he either has a Deuce and puts Daniel on a good king (maybe two pair) therefore betting big, cuz with a good king normal kicker Greg is more likely to put in a value bet (50%pot or so) but then Greg can also have air...ok I Call

  • hi daniel

  • omfg what is that ugly fat thing ?

  • @Agone69 that ugly fat thing won WSOP 2003 main event so show some respect to this guy :)

  • @radzio111skrzat Actually, it was 2004 when he won the big one. But yeah, you're right tho...

  • Actually this is a fairly simple read. A king doesn't check the flop and trips don't shove the river.

Still think DN is a great player though.

  • @Neo1425 pot was more then 15K stack for push less 25K, why not?

  • @kosbarable Because trips want to be called, and they don't do that by overbetting 1.5 times the pot.

  • @Neo1425 Not 1.5! Max 1.2...

  • @Neo1425 BRAVO.

  • I just love how he approaches the audience to explain his though process afterwards!

  • great hero call by daniel as always / awesome player 1 of the best in the world

  • I don't think he'd have checked the flop with just a King. I think he's trying to represent trip 2s on the river but you wouldn't shove with that hand because none of the draws got there; you're safe, you should be trying to induce a bluff or get value from the hand. Weirdly, If Raymer had have bet 1/2 the pot, I think he might have taken it down.

  • @Idlevice or maybe pros dont rise every pair they see

  • BLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLABLA!!!

  • Negreanu must have been extremely scared when he saw Raymer flipping over his cards instead of saying, "you're good".

  • raymer was breathing pretty heavilly

  • greg raymer is suck a luckbox

  • day 37, running low on supply's and still cannot find chriscommon14 or southeast21's comment.

  • pretty easy call when you see raymers chest moving a foot in and out

  • nice call!

  • i dunno what ppl are saying, its not a great call? its so easy for raymer to have A-2 there with the way the hand played out...daniel knows he doesnt have a K, because he checked behind on the flop...the 2 is the worst card on the river for daniel..its a much easier call if another K hit the river..he put most of his stack in with middle pair and middle kicker...its a great call in any tournament play

  • @MrJoedoherty most idiotic comment i have ever read. so youre saying its a great call just because of the possibility of raymer having ONE hand? ever heard of ranges? and since you already stated that its unlikely that raymer has a king (even though i also disagree here, he can easily have a king and do some range merging on the river to trick daniel in a hero call) there are just so few hand combinations left that make sense and actually beat daniel which makes the call standard.

  • @herplikestoderp so always call all ins on the river when you hit middle pair on the flop boys and girls

  • @herplikestoderp mr joe is a moron. This is definitely not a standard call by any standards. When he jams daniel supposed to think he knows i know that everything missed why would he shove here? 9 times out of 10 its a monster boat where they are making it look like all the draws missed and there hoping opponent will call. Where raymer messed up is daniel so bad he will call with pair of jacks. This is why daniel has done horribly online.

  • @herplikestoderp thats the 2nd most idiotic comment then ... are you retarded ?? kramer raised preflop / checked flop as ya would if ya hit a set , so many hand combo's there if ya look properly / this is why i win big bucks online , off muppets like you with no idea that think this is standard call LMFAO

  • @herplikestoderp I dont think daniel was ranging his opponent here, hw just read his reactions when he was allin, daniel knew that this could only have been a desperate attempt ton steal the pot, when daniel said "this could be a really big mistake" my guess is, he was still considering calling at that point...then the radar goes on and instinct alone tells you whether of not your opponent has air (headsup) then it's just....I call

  • I'm a husng player and this is a pretty standard call.

  • This is Daniel Negreanu !!! Respect this guy and his game strategy !!! Great Call vs Raymer !!!

    Hi Daniel!

  • probably sounds insecure sorry i mean i will..

  • what was so special with this? standard play if youure good.. if i could stick too bankrollmanagement i would be there now. seems i have 2 wait a bit moore only

I got problem with controle of bankrolemanagement that is my trouble but my pker play is just like daniels and tom dwans a mix of em i probably will get there..

  • @southeast21 99 % of people have problems with the BRM. I quit playing cuz i realised that i don't appreciate the money i win. I won so much money but it was like chips for me, you gotta have a lot of self control if you want to be a big player, i don't have it and i will never have it. I only appreciate money i worked hard for.

  • @kutttlic 100% true

  • @xcounte i only played in card casinos since there was a casino where i live. I swear i doubled up or trippled the last 15-20 times i went there and i never quit till i was broke. If i would have just went home after an hour i could live from poker. BUT I JUST CAN'T! I don't appreciate that money, i don't know why. I think it was more the adrenalin that i was going for, not the money

  • @kutttlic I too have notice this a lot. I am a proffestional poker player and lives in Vegas. This is what I do for the bills and rent. I've learn that it's like a roller coaster, you just got to get out when you are at the high level, and it's discipline. When I first started playing, I would play really good in the first hour, and half of the times, I would lose the money. I'm learning that I just need to leave while I'm ahead, and don't be greedy. I come back another day.

  • @Zynyster absolutely! I almost ALWAYS won in the first half hour( i guess you play live like i did)! But i was too greedy, my game got worse after an hour, and it's more difficult to double up or tripple up if you have a lot of chips on your table. Only really really good players can do that but also not very often. Like you said, you need to stand up and go and you will make for living without a problem!

  • @kutttlic There is another big reason why I have the discipline to leave while I am ahead. About a year and a half ago, I was homeless and broke for 2 weeks because I was greedy. I was able to get out of that. Now I have a home, a computer, comfortable bed, plenty of food and drinks and I play smarter now and everything is on the up and up for me because of that motivation of not being homeless again. In other words, I told myself - Don't play stupid, lol. And yes, all Live games.

  • @Zynyster You should have told yourself to get a job lol.

  • @bdenniso dude, do you live in Vegas? Jobs are extremely difficult to get here. I've been looking for housekeeping, computer jobs and all that. Not that I need to explain myself, but just in case, if you are a nice person, then there you go.

  • @Zynyster Naw, I don't. I shouldn't have posted that comment, My apologies.

I'm spoiled. I live in Canada, Jobs up here start at like 17$/hr+. You should consider moving.

  • @bdenniso lol, that's okay dude. You didn't know how bad it is in Las Vegas, one of the big Hotel/Casino Sahara have closed down and it's getting worst here. Couple of reasons why I'm here (one of them includes my gf being here) - we might have to move to another town, but jobs is so hard to find here in Vegas (yes, even with all those hotels and casinos - I just can't believe how tough it is out here. I think too many people have moved to Vegas before I got here, lol.

  • @Zynyster just become a poker dealer bro. screw housekeeping.

  • @OceanSkate401 LOL, oh yes, I have filled out applications online and no one is hiring at the moment, but the reason why I mention housekeeping. Just think of all of those Hotels in Vegas and I can't even get a housekeeping job, that is pretty bad you know. In Vegas, you do need luck with everything.

  • @kutttlic I call

  • @kutttlic What is BRM- cause if your making so much money you quit caring about it- then i'm interested.

  • @ShatiWorks bankrollmanagement! i did make a lot of money, enough to live only from poker but i always took higher risks and lost it all.

  • Gr8 call Daniel... one of his more impressive reads for sure.

  • not *that great when heads up

  • on that great when heads up

  • He makes a lot of great calls because he calls ALOT. He's always calling people down. Also he is pretty good.

  • @phraedusthamusicdigr i agree, him and tom dwan and lex veldhuis are all so concerned about making "sick calls"

  • if he had kings, he would have been afraid of the diamonds and most likely bet on the flop. standard bet on turn, overbet on the river. i'm not saying it was an easy call -it's always easy to tell when you watch it on tv and see the cards- but i'm saying it wasn't exactly a well built-up bluff. it did look like a bluff, or a missed flush draw.

  • @staxstix he could have two

  • @mm8mm81 yea, well. you can always have a set. doesn't change the fact that a flush would've scared him, though.

  • Easy call, if raymer had a K he wouldve bet the flop because of the flush draw.

If he had one 2 he prob would not have raised preflop nor would he overbet the river. Daniel might also think Raymer was on a flush draw and missed.

  • @MaxDamage19844 Easy call, you are an idiotic free chip online player

  • also, try to think of how many times Daniel makes calls like these and is wrong.... they happen WAY more often than the number of times he's right

  • @LMW87MMA You are wrong. If he was making a lot of wrong calls he wouldn't be pro...

  • @LMW87MMA Now try to think of how many times you're on t.v. playing high stakes poker and earning a living without a side job to support your gambling habits. And you can't use what is televised as an accurate depiction of his poker skills. For all we know, the producers of those shows might not like Daniel and purposely show him fucking up and omit his good plays.

  • This is such an easy call heads up with that many missed draws, especially when Raymer overbets

  • just....WOW!!!

  • why does greg raymer wear them fucking glasses?!

  • I wonder if the poster of this vid is going to drive a hummer through my living room if I say something negative about Daniel Negruanu...

  • idunno..if he had a King...he wouldn't have showed weakness by checking that flop...he bets on 4th street but how did that 8 help him? (set of 8's?)..ehhh..this call has to do with history and patterns up to this point...one hand doesn't tell us anything about that match..just that DN won...good hunch though eh?

  • Comment removed

  • fat raymer

  • "how do you call that?" well its heads up with 2nd pair you will win prolly 80% of the time!

  • online wsopok must be one fucking idiot retard

  • don't see whats so hard about this call, Raymer's play doesn't make sense, and when it doesn't make sense it's normally a bluff.

  • Pretty easy call. Raymer checks the flop. Anybody in their right mind would not check the flop in position with king or jack cause they would want to know if opponent had flush draw.

  • Standard call heads up. he acts like he won the tourney lol.

  • Standard call heads up.

  • Standard call. Gabe noob.

  • std, raymer doesn't check back a king on that board and risk being drawn, he can't have a 2 cause he would check back the turn with showdown value, no point in betting it HU, the 2 on the river is essentially a blank, the only thing that would make sense is 8's full and because raymers range is super wide there it's a pretty standard call. raymers just to stupid to fire the K OTF cause he is retarded obv betting the flop then barreling the turn is optimal from raymer. besides folding pre

  • @mindzeye123123 curious, why do you think 2 is obviously a blank, wouldn't he play a high 2 like that, try to steal the turn and get lucky on the river, then try to sell a bluff. It's either a bluff or a monster there, and hope daniel guesses wrong. no vb given the stack size.

  • The fat guy looks like the father from family guy

  • Pretty standard heads up call. Chances are decent hes doing this with a jack as well and will most likely split the pot. BUT Raymer bet really fast on the river which is a big sign your bluffing. I would have called as well

  • @yoda

    @Gorepwn

lol maybe in your 5c/10c game you donk, these are pros so stfu

  • @ProjectBlowed I play 5/10 no limit and buy in for a minimum of 1k. I am actually travelling in Indiana right now for the WSOP circuit. What are you doing?

  • this is standard HU call, diss me all you want but its true.

  • When I was little, I would watch this. I would always think that the announcers were giving their cards away over the mic. lol

  • why is he sayin "thanks bro, thats what i needed" .. and puts his phone into the back pocket of his pants?

  • shit play by raymer. wtf is he trying to represent by moving all in on the river? nothing..

  • @SmotPoker09

    lol....

  • @SmotPoker09 Maybe he just wanted to hurry and get the game over so he could go eat.

  • I'm ranked number seven in my home league, which has over 200 players. I have been playing poker for years. I've heard many commentators say "he doesn't like folding" about almost every player. Dwan, Ivey, Hellmuth, all of them. No player likes folding, so your argument is invald. Again, a "calling station" is a derogatory statement made about new players who don't know HOW to fold.

  • is he like two persons into one?

  • What tournament was this?

  • @Largoontherocks1

Looks like NBC Heads-up poker championship.

  • this call is so fucking average...just one overcard..i made a call with 22 on a KJ10 3 5 board vs my brother in a 1$ 2$ pokergame...much better than this crap here

  • @slatz20 lol r u retarded? there's a lot of money at stake, it makes every call a way bigger deal than if you play your brother with pocket change... you're so fucking stupid

  • @klu501 to me 100$ is a huge amount of money..for daniel is 100.000$ huge..where s the difference u idiot?

  • Pretty easy call the way the hand played out.Raymer wouldn't check a hand like top pair on the flop, maybe a set but that's pretty unlikely. The only hand he could really have played this way that beats Daniel is 88,and judging from Raymer's snapshove on a blank river screams that he doesn't have that hand basically ever,he would at least think for a while and value bet, because from his perspective it's pretty tough for daniel to have anything better than a Jack there..

  • @chriscommon14 So why aren't you sitting on that table, you pro_kestars?

  • @MADCREWmonax I never said I was a pro LOL just stating a good analysis of the hand, cause I was bored and happened to see this how badly this was played by Raymer. He is basically repping one hand which is a turned eights full here.I do play online regularily. And I'm wondering what it is with dumb youtubers thinking you actually have to have a bankroll for these to be able to state anything. That's just not the case.Just because you have a roll for high stakes doesn't mean you're good enough.

  • @chriscommon14 Don't let the idiots argue with you. They have no idea what is going on. At least you understand poker and understand whats going on. Raymer instantly went all in on the river which is a big sign of weakness. At worst I think Daniel is splitting the pot and raymers got a jack too, but it was a fairly standard call

  • @chriscommon14 Its heads up, people check top pair all the time

  • @coreycunninghamkarl Maybe some more passive players but I don't really see and aggressive player like Raymer checking back with top pair here, especially against a calling station like Daniel.Since he's gonna be bluffing on that board most of the time when he cbets he has to balance strong hands into that cbetting range as well, otherwise he'll be too predictable.

  • @chriscommon14 Did you just call Daniel Negreanu a calling station? Do you even know what that term refers to?

  • @normalpsychology Obviously he's a calling station there is no question about it.Just watch the big game or pca super high roller and you'll understand. He doesn't like to fold, especially on the river.

  • @chriscommon14 Nah, dude, a calling station is a derogatory comment used on a new player who just calls everything without knowing what's going on. Daniel Negreanu can call all day and still couldn't be considered a "calling station," trust me. Learn your jargon, man.

  • @normalpsychology There's no point for me to argue with a guy who propably doesn't know much about poker anyways.unlike you,99% of the poker community would agree that Daniel Negreanu doesn't like folding at least on tv.The fact that he may or may not be called a calling station is irrelevant. The hands speak for themselves.

  • good but not impossible

  • Nice cal... very nice.

  • Like both these guys. Good sportsman for the game.

  • @RICHARD272007 easy when you can see the cards, huh. the guy could easily have had a king, i would very much like to play you HU

  • @dothequack it's easy anyway, not just if you see the cards: when you play Heads Up the second pair is a very good hand. Maybe it wasn't an absolute easy call, but if you play against an aggressive player who bluffs a lot (and Raymer definitely is that) you definitely can't fold that.

  • THAT WAS AN EASY CALL AHAHAHAHAHA ALLIN AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

AAAAAAAAAAAAA IDIOT THIS IS HIS JOBBBBB AND YOU PLAY POKER FOR FUN SO STFU!

  • @RICHARD272007 if you think that set up a heads up match ANY time for ANY sum of money you think you can handle against me

  • daniel is a great player, with style, he knows to lose with no swearing, and he knows to win. he is grand master poker player, respect (Y)

  • the best player, daniel negreanu

  • @Stanc1ucu Hardly.

  • @Stanc1ucu For Sure in the top 5

  • first'

  • @dalejrman i have a medal here with your name on it, where would you like me to post it?
