For those of you who want to know why they sound so horrible:

The maker of the video from nico plugged in the Vsq and did no editing.

Also add into the fact that these were the first vocaloids ever created, designed for soul songs while magnet is a pop song.

Oh and they sing English. They aren't made to sing Japanese, so their pronunciation is off, but doesn't everyone else's cover do that too. (by that I mean people where Japanese isn't their native language..)

I actually: have a deeper voice than most girls (out of my brothers, I'm the only girl, I'm the only one who doesn't scream like a girl), I'm full Northern Russian so I've got a large bone structure and have guy shoulders, am nowhere near a girly girl, and more often than not, beat guys in sports. Props to you.

That is why most female VOCALOIDs have a higher voice. It is un natural for a female VOCALOID to sound like Lola, It is not bad, but it is strange.

Luka's voice is more mature sounding than Miku's and Luka came second.

Lola's voice sounds more mature than Leon's, in a girl kind of way, so to makes sense to put her in the same position as Luka...

I guess a lot of people see Miku's part as what the "girl" in the reletionship should sing and Luka's part is what the "boy" should sing. But just because we think it would be better one way, won't make it that way. Although the producer did pull it off rather nicely and the song still sounds good. :)

Lola's voice seems like it has a African accent to it, and that's pretty effin' cool. I pictured her as a Jamaican or African songstress (time for fanart :D)....they both have a lovely, unique set of voices. After listening for the second time I could very easily tell them apart, and I grew accustomed to them. These two deserve more love :\

@LaLaGal123xx Lola and Leon, the very first VOCALOIDs ever created xD They're also Engloids, and have voice banks for pronouncing English, not Japanese, which is half the reason they sound hilariously weird. The other half is that they have even more technical issues than Meiko and Kaito. I still adore all four of the earlier VOCALOIDs, but they are the least realistic sounding of all the VOCALOIDs <3
