  • Thank you, I think I got the foudation of it now, Thanks

  • Boy i lucked up and found me some size 10 white Carreras from someone on craigslist for 45 bucks! They look New Condition! The Toe Jam isn't as easy as it looks, but i've been practicing lately & am starting to get it little by little. =)

  • this realy helped me i go skating all the time. is shuffle skating and jam skating the same?

  • @lynch083 Shuffle is more skating around the rink. Jam is done more so in the middle.

  • Thank you soooo much!!! I've seen this trick several times but never knew the name!!! I just got a confidence and excite boost for this and as soon as I get better that trick is mine!!!

  • I seriously think that Crazy leg or Rubber legs or whatever it's called is an amazing basic dance for jam skating...I loooovvveeee jam skating...it requires a hell of alot of more work and practice than dancing or skating. kudos for the video..

plus...this move is actually fun to do

  • This is an awesome tutorial of the ToeJam. This is ryanck712's skating channel!

  • I wish i could practise this at home like you and only embarress myself in front of a dog instead of people!

  • Just start learning Jamskate (was a skater for many years focusing on other tricks like all kinds of hockey stops). And yours video tutorial is very helpful. Thanks a lot!

  • Hey, I dont have Vanillas yet. Do I need those specifically do be able to do things like this? Please write back ASAP, Thanks. And your skates are Soo cuteeee

  • right now im using all black gtx 500s but im getting the black and red vanilla juniors for christmas

  • your skates are awesome how much did they cost

  • @smallworldsfreak231 My original setup was like 800 or so I can not remember it was several years ago when I bought them.

  • @JamSkateAddiction I hope you aren't referring your "original setup" to those pair of Vanillas? Because those weren't even around several years ago.

  • @DerangedMenace Yes I am referring to these Vanilla's. What I mean by original is that when I bought them I had different wheels and bearings on them than now. Lol when I say several I am meaning 3 or 4 years ago. Not decades or anything. Those were not my first set of skates though. My first REAL set of skates were Riedell 395s which was over a decade ago.

  • hifer 10 have some one else flip ur plate for u trust me if u are a little off to one side ur skate will pull and it will suck and u cant drill another hole in ur boot because the screw will fall and move around make sure all ur measurements are right before u do anything and JamSkateAddiction if u give me an email address ill send u a picture of what a fliped plate is

  • @redzion123 I saw one the other day, Thanks though. s

  • crip walk of skating?

  • @hifer10 It will fit on it. It will just appear smaller on a larger boot. If I wear you I would let someone else mount them for you. Dismount your Vanilla boot and send it to the place you bought your skate from. It is much safer to have them do it than do it yourself. Mounting your plates is not as easy as most people think. It is really easy to mount them wrong.

  • @hifer10 I think you are refering to a short forward mount. I do not believe the plate is turned around for this it is just a shorter plate mounted forward on the boot. Your best bet for answers on this is go to skatelog forums online and go to the quad section and ask there. I do not know anything about mounting plates.

  • how do u jam skate? nt toe jam???

  • @mzbestie1234 Well there are several things that you do in jamskating. Its dancing on skates. Just learn tricks and put it to a beat in a song. Hard to explain.

  • @JamSkateAddiction i mean lik how do u jamskate. pivotin i tink. Wher u jst skate nd lift ur leg up a lil bit and jam to a beat

  • @mzbestie1234 you do know jam skating is break dancing on skates

  • I would like to know if the trucks on your skates are tight or loose? I have had people tell me they need to be loose and some so loose you can shake them back and forth. Some say just enough to lean all the way over and others tight. I like mine tight but will i had better movement with them loose or do you know? What is your opinion on the truck tightness?

  • @TylerSelf It is all personal preference really. I personally like my trucks loose. Some skate with them tight. I find it easier to do side surfing with them loose. Footwork is a bit harder though. Takes a bit more balance. I have heard that most jamskaters skate with their trucks tight. But then again it is all personal preference. There is no right or wrong way.

  • thanks, i understand this better now but quick question, when doing this, there is something else that brandon and tony zane add to it by sticking there leg out on thier heel and turning in that leg direction, i was wondering if you could explain this better in a video, thanks

  • @XRaVenX41 Sure I will add it to the list. It looks more complicated than it is. It is just switching your body weight around to different feet and also pumping different ways. It is hard to explain.

  • this really helped and i wanted to know if u know any good sites for some cheap vanillas like the blk and red jr's

  • @popmasterproductions Sending you a pm.

  • awesome explanation!

  • i love how u always say hey yall in the beginning of ur videos(:

  • @codster813 Lol :D That's the Texas in me lol :P

  • How Much Where Your Skates?

  • @airhogs45 About $800 with my original package. Cause it was TZ, Reactor, Bones Swiss, and Radar Devil Rays I think. Or it may have been Uprocks. It has been awhile since I bought them.

  • this realy help me with the toe jam i toke me 2 weeks to lrean how to atfer i saw this video :)

  • Hey thanks,

I think I got it now,

Thats cool, I can learn from ya....:)

  • igot it its easy 1nce yu know how 2 do it

  • very nice video,thank you for upload.regards from europe/asia

  • great vids. this may be a dumb question but can this toe jam move be done if your sk8s have toe stops?

  • @harpbass8 You can but it is a whole lot harder. I personally don't think it looks as good either. I don't really recommend it.

  • this is a key move to learn how to jam skate. This is rly like the first move i learnd 10 years ago and i looked rly goofie.lol you are a great teacher get at me more often on Facebook i do want to make a trip to Texas some time. oh btw got a new video up on my page on youtube. Take care, Nic

  • @NicNatNob1992 Yea people do look goofy/awkward when they first learn it lol. Kinda reminds me of a duck when people first learn it. :D Yea. I don't get to skate much right now I am busy with college and looking for a job soooo skating is on the back burner right now.

  • do u have vanilla juniors???

  • @easternbiker101010 Uh no lol.

  • can you do the moonwalk??

  • @The1ofthekind Yes I can. I will film it tonight and try and post it tonight.

  • Great job cuz.

  • @festerblatz82 Jeremy or Jesse... Hmm which one are you? Lol

  • I'm determined to get this!! I will try tomorrow. Thx

  • I just love your videos!!

  • Thanks, that helped alot!

  • Great job!!

  • omg i get sooooo pised off i skate alot and im really god i win alot but i cnt toe jam it sooo confusing i can grap vine and all that but no toe jam lol

  • It took me awhile to learn how to toe jam. :D Just keep practicing and you will get it. Check my other toe jam video its filmed facing the opposite direction. A little easier to follow.

  • every body im my town goes to the rink and ive been looking for some new moves so thanks make some more videos!

  • Working on it. :D Editing a video right now not a trick video but something that is requested alot.

  • i love you!!!

just what i was looking for!!

    thank you soooo much!

    im subscribing :D

  • Virtual high five for subbing! lol

  • That was helpful lol =)

  • I wish there were videos out there with the same quality explanation like your video only for rollerblade jam skaters.

  • There was for Slalom a few years ago and one for aggressive but I guess they got deleted since they are no longer in my subscriptions.

  • your videos are great....i'm trying to teach myself how to jamskate - its challenging to say the least - and a know absolutely nothing about it...saw on youtube and thought it looked cool. my question is, do i need to remove my toe stoppers to do this??

  • yeah its way easier to do it

  • Sorry i'm just now getting to your comment. Like aqzawsxaedc said it is way easier without them. But you will want to get jam plugs or dance plugs for the holes. Most skating rinks will not allow you in unless you have them,

  • are those magic skates

  • Yes, yes they are. I can fly in them lol :D

  • 質問したい事があるのですが、英語が出来ひ・・・残念!!

  • Attempting to understand this comment went to world lingo. :D

This is what I got. "It is to be times when we would like to ask, but English to be possible, the [hi] regrettable!!" I wish I knew japanese : / so I could understand better and reply.

  • u need to make a moonwalking in skates video

  • I will try to get that done soon. I have been busy editing a lot so I have not really had time to film anything for this channel. :D

  • ur cool

  • my lil sis has figure skates

  • You can do it in those just need dance plugs.

  • idk if u ever seen the movie roll bounce but in the movie they get very low and spin on their front wheeles. could u show us how that is done?

  • Own It :D Good movie. Sadly I can not do a Sit Spin. I have been practicing it and I can sit in the spin for about two rotations and I fall over or when I go to get up I can't I fall. Once I perfect it I will do a video. Or maybe I can get my skate buddy Dayton to do it. He is a master at that trick.

  • XD im guessing your skates coted around 800 to a 1000 right? i have the same boot but went with a probe plate and i already had a pair of cannibal wheels from my last order but yeah go tutorial it does help me thanx :P

  • Yea I think they were about 850 or so. They were not cheap I had been saving for awhile. Lol.

  • lol i thought about getting the powertrac but was told the probe will do the job fine anyway ill post a video response of my crazey legs if you don't mind giving a few pointers?

  • You went from getting a nice aluminum plate to getting a plastic one? Really? Who told you that?

Sounds cool looking forward to seeing it. :D

  • rofl it wasnt my decision i was rather mad about it i oredered through my employer and she is a nylon freak but anyway the guy she talked i gave her my info that i do round offs and stuff and jumps he said why waste money on an aluminum plate when the probe has not had any problems so the guy at the company said it

  • I hate plastic plates they flex and twist. Hmm I guess he was trying to save you money which I don't understand why he would want to help you save 250 dollars especially if that was what you wanted. I don't get. Jumping and round offs can make your axels/post bend but that is going to happen regardless if the plate is metal or plastic so I have no clue as to why he suggested that.

  • yeah nylons suck i broke a pair before never hit the round as hard as i did n my life till they broke...well we will see how these are gonna do ijust hope i dun kill m boot any more D:

  • Hi im a pretty basic skater and was wondering if you have any advice and by basic i mean i can skate backwards and all of that but i still cant do this that well. please message back.

  • Message Sent.

  • ahahah your on your way lol...get some leather freestyle skates for god sake!!

    Smooth Riders all dayyyy!! ;))

  • What you mean on my way? lol

Freestyle skates??? Those are Vanilla TZ Freestyles.. Do you mean the Hi-Top Old school skates? What JB Skaters use?

  • yess those are way easier to do things in. cuz i used to have speed skates and i couldnt do half the things i know on those until i got the leather high top freestyles. there just better if ur trying to do tricks. by tricks i mean jump spins, low spins, ect.

  • Well I used to skate in high tops & they restricted my ankles preventing me from doing some tricks. Plus they don't fit the style of skating I do. I am more of a jamskater than a artistic or JB skater. The jam skates/speed skates have not limited me on anything. I can do low spins in them & jump spins. Anything I put my mind to and practice I can normally pick it up within a few hours or few practice sessions. I must say though that the Hi tops do take a little less effort for spins. But

  • I don't think it really has too much to do with the boot. I think it is because the wheels on those skates are much smaller than those on speed/jam skates. It really depends on the skater with what skates/wheels work best for them. What works/seems easier for some people and what works/seems easier for others sometimes are direct opposite. I guess it is kind of like car tires people chose what to get by what they are wanting to do with it and how it will perform for them.

  • Hey, I've been trying to figure this out forever. Thanks for really breaking it down slowly. You rock!!

  • How cute is she!!!!

  • Those are easily seen Vanilla Tony Zane sunlites'. I have a pair, but white and pink. :D

  • Wrong lol :D Not a Sunlice I mean Sunlite.

    Tony Zane Freestyle 2.0

    Power Dyne Reactor

    Bones Swiss Bearings

    Backpsin Scribble Wheels

    Complete custom order.

  • Nice skates! What are they?

  • Tony Zane Freestyle 2.0

    Power Dyne Reactor

    Bones Swiss Bearings

    Backpsin Scribble Wheels

    Complete custom order.

  • Awesome! How hard do you think this would be to learn on a pair of artistic skates? =P

  • Not to hard if you have dance plugs or jam jam plugs. It is kinda hard to do with toe stops on since you can not come up on your toes very much.

  • It's not that hard. I use a pair of artistics with a lot of play in the trucks and I can do the crazy legs just fine w/o toe stops or plugs.

  • you go girl!

  • that help me out sooo much!:).lol im only 14 and ive been trying 2 do this for like 2 years. and no other videos have helped me.lol THANX:)

  • Good. :D

Don't forget to subscribe getting new videos all the time.

  • Happy Birthday Courtney!!!!!! Hope you have a great day. Love ya, MOM ;)

  • Good job,...and cute to. ;-)

  • Gosh...I wish you could have shot the video with you facing the other way. But i love it.

  • I will do it when I get home in a few hours. :D I have been meaning to just have not done it yet. So check back later today or tonight for it, :D

  • U R Awesome! Thx.

  • Video is uploading. :D

  • thanks for taking the time to make this video - really good - do you know if this also works if you skate using inline skates

  • Matter of fact you can. I think its a little harder though. But you sure can. You can probably do most tricks on inlines is you practice. I personally think it looks better on quads but check out some Naomi Grigg videos. She does alot on inlines. :D

  • thanks so much - been checking out Naomi, she is good at slalom - not sure about the dancing though - guess you can do slalom moves as dance moves.. thanks again

  • Well slalom skaters do most moves traveling unlike jamskaters who mostly stay in place. They do a lot of spins, grapevines, and toe jamming. They also do quiet a bit of foot work. I am pretty sure there is a video floating around on youtube of her doing roller dance. Probably hard to find though.

  • Do you know what truck skating is?

  • Truck skating?? No can't say I do. What is that??

  • Well, its like at our rink only advanced skaters can do it. u have to go from side to side in ryhm with the musc, kind of like doing the tik-tock, and u have to be going at a reasonable speed or they will make u get off of the floor. its difficult, i thought u might have known how to do it and could have posted a vid.

  • I think you may be talking about shuffle skating. If that is it yes I can do it. I think the tick tock is when your skating backwards and do a double step on each side but I am not really sure. If shuffle skating is what you are talking about I can make some videos on it. You should check out becktorkelson youtube she has some already. :D

  • thnks. u r always so helpful

  • do you know the iceberg?

  • I know it and can do it but not for very long.

  • Hey! You are an example of what makes the internet great!! Starting to be able to flow a little with the toe jam; however I am (for lack of a better term) "gliding" really bad; mainly backward. Did this happen to you when you were learning this move?

  • Hmm not too sure what you mean by gliding... Are you like traveling a lot or something?

  • Yeah, as I'm doing the move, I drift backwards. And when I notice, if I think about trying to back forward, I get off balance. It may be something that just goes away with practice.

  • OMG Jam...I am am beginning to get a little better. The funny thing is that the people at my neighborhood little rink think I am GREAT. I am the big fish in a tiny pond. I luv it -- thank u.

  • Oh that is so cool. :D

  • i need to get some plugs lol pain in the ass to do with stoppers well atleast how far i keep em down nice vid

  • Watching your videos i have been able to learn several moves faster and easier than on the Learn To Jamskate videos, while they are good, they don't break it down like you which makes it alot easier, thanks a bunch.

  • lol thanks for the help but i noticed ur skates didnt have a stopper..... did u take it off?

  • Good observation lol :D I don't have stoppers I have jam plugs/dance plugs. If you look really close you will see them. They are really small and black. You can see them at the side view of 2:42 or so.

  • Welcome .

    8P

  • Yes ... I think you taught it better .

  • Yea.. I had a hard time learning it from the series too. Thanks :D
