I still don't know how to feel about GSP moving up in weight.

He has to defend against Alves first (a legitimate opponent). I expect another blow-out performance. After that, he's pretty much cleared the Welterweight division. Nowhere to go but up.

And honestly, who doesn't want to see a super fight with A. Silva and GSP, while their both in their prime. I think Silva wins though. He's too good. His only recent losses are from a DQ and the craziest submission ever (flying scissor heel hook)

I dont think that GSP should move up in weight, he is best at this weight, he should rule as long as he can and let the opponents line up and try him, if he moves up and fights a natural heavy weight it could prove to be his downfall, especially Silva who is phenomenal

He's a great Athlete. I was very impressed with his win over BJ Penn. Penn should not have come up to that weight class- he's too small. GSP is a much bigger man than Penn. GSP rocks!

im a big gsp fan but you cant make that argument unless he beats bj. he should be able to use his wrestling but bj is so tough to hold down with his bjj and flexibility. is he is able to beat bj then you could put him up there with anderson silva. but anderson is so good right now dan henderson whos a force at 205 didnt even make it out of the second round. i dont think its a good career move for gsp to move up and challenge him georges would eat 10 shots before he got close enough to throw 1

GSP shouldn't fight Silva simply because Silva is a natural 205er. Silva shouldn't fight Lesnar for the same reason.

But back to the point. I know I'm nuthugging slightly but no doubt that GSP is up there with BJ and Silva and if he DOES beat BJ I'd put him on top.

Also, when saying "mixed martial artist" I wanted to stress his real martial arts background, discipline and strong character., because not all fighters are martial artists (if you know what I mean).

GSP is definately ahead of bj right now. i think bj has an edge in boxing and his bjj, flexibilty and take down defense. but gsp has a huge edge in wrestling that proved to be the difference in the last fight and i predict will be the difference in this fight
