  • I am sick of this "My customers depend on me" GARBAGE ! I've delivered mail for almost 24 years and I've never had one customer dependent on me. A lot of people don't even pick up Saturdays mail from their box until Monday. Very few if any Meds or checks are delivered on Sat's. End Sat. delivery now & save the USPS.

  • I thought I read that Potter made 5 mil last year. He's leaving soon anyway. About 40,000 people would lose their jobs if the PO went to 5 days a week.

  • 5 day delivery is the solution. on Saturdays pot offices will open, customers will have access to their po box, express mail will still be delivered seven days a week and talk is that it will be significantly cheaper now, processing of the mail will still take place seven days a week, bussiness mail and drop shipments will still be accepted. Only the letter carrier would work mon-friday everyone else would stay the same.

  • The way the system is now. There is no one accountable for your mail on that weekday or two your regular mailman has. I repeat no one. If the post office switches to five days they will no longer see two three different mailman in your neighborhood through out the week claiming they have no idea as to your complaints because Ive been off. FIVE DAYS MEANS ONE MAIL MAN ALL THE TIME , MEANING YOUR SERVICE WILL IMPROVE. UNIONS WORRYING ABOUT LOSS OF DUES ARE THE ONES TRYING TO STOP THIS 5 DAY PLAN.

  • It's a good thing it's not really Potter's decision. What kind of business cuts service to save money?

    Very, very, very, stupid move!

Potter still pulls in almost 800k a year, who needs that kind of money?

  • That Carrier is so full of crap! "They depend on me" wah wah...Look Sat is & has always been the lightest day of the week as far as mail volume goes plus most non-retail businesses are closed on Sat. & on top of that window sales(the clerk at the PO) are nearly non-existant. Everyone PO employee and the public know that Sat delivery should have been halted LONG ago.

  • But it will affect the substitute carriers.
