THAT FLOOR ALONG IS MAJOR WELDING AROUND 1000 THEN THE BRAKES AROUND 600

IT IS UNSAFE AND THE ENGINE WILL NEED SERVICING INDEFINITELY AS HE WOULD SPENT MONEY AND GOT MORE FOR IT

  • And to think that a 7.2l (440Ci) in a MOPAR pushed out 375 bhp :P

  • Comment removed

  • 200bhp from a 7.2 litre? Skoda are pushing 180bhp from a 1.4 lol

  • @adamc260 but skoda never will have a V8 so a Skoda will never sound as good as this :)

  • @adamc260 ... Mike got it wrong, or was a slip... minimum horsepower set up from the Chrysler V8 in a Jensen Interceptor was 300bhp, eventually rising to 390bhp, most common tune was around 330bhp, which was comparable to the Maserati and Aston V8s of the day.

  • LucaKober thanks for the upload

  • Great video

  • 440 cubic inches and just over 200 HP....lol

  • mike should know by now that if you want to try to get a good deal on a car,you shouldnt be putting the car on a pedestool like the owner has the best car on the planet, you need to make it seem like it needs alot done to it and that for the right price it might be worth it.one of the few things that bothers me about the show

  • song at 0:40 WHAT IS IT?!?! I can't find it ANYWHERE!

  • @whoohaaXL Song is a piece of production music used for TV and corporate videos by KPM music called 'Casino Deluxe'. If you internet search ''Casino Deluxe KPM Music' you should find a download. I think it's great. I used it on my Wheeler Dealers Parody.

  • that steering wheel is WAY off the center

  • "I´ve always wanted one of these" Seems he´s wanted almost every car on the planet =D

  • the boy selling the car reminds me a bit of shuggs the boy fa madness lol

  • mike doesnt help ed. Dominic littlewood does on car shows.

  • Notice Mike's botox here- his face has less lines than a new born baby's, and his brows are higher than a kite on a windy day. Still, I suppose he has HD to worry about.

  • @Supraaero2JZ Naw, he's just obese.

  • @Gazpacho8 I have it on good authority- Mike is no stranger to the botox needle! But, he does look good on it-lol!

  • i wanna see these guys restore a Delorean.

  • @martyn580 yes! now that's an idea!

  • Mike uses a computer like a caveman making fire for the first time....

  • @fitnready4 lol Truth.

  • @fitnready4 hunt and peck baby! hunt and peck!

  • @fitnready4 ive just pissed myself laughing at that comment that has to be the best comment ive ever read lol

  • Whats with everyone on this show starting motors and revving them right away??? Then turning off. Even Edd does it sometimes and he's a mastermind mechanic.

  • @twofiftysx because due to the magic of TV they can run them to warm before the segment, and THEN show them turning on and rev them (so they don't have to transition to an already running engine, which would feel strange, or film a whole engine warm up period).

  • Jensen apparently is open for business yet again. now what they are doing is rebuilding old models with modern running gear.

  • thats a shame jensen is closed. at least cars is in good shape

  • wow mike really got a good price there.

  • i turned a completely restored mk 3 in powder blue for 4k it was mint . i was bloody mad .

  • 200bhp from 7.2l?? v8

  • @UNKN8WN1973 LOL, well he did say it was a Chrysler. You know it'll be bad if it has anything to do with Chrysler

  • @richboy900 and whats with the head rests@4.09??

  • @UNKN8WN1973 Agreed, it's 25 BHP for each cylinder, and each cylinder is almost a liter, those Yanks couldn't make the best of engines.

  • @Jontenn Yea but at least the Yanks still make their own engines..lol

  • @UNKN8WN1973 In that years 200 bhp were a lot. but in todays standards is not much

  • The Jensen name is more like Danish, though..

  • 200bhp from 7.2L = 27.7 bhp per L ? That can't be right.

  • @bmgm3 its a chrysler (not sure how u spell it), which is american, they cant make engines, british engines get loads of bhp just from a 1.6 or 2L

  • @Fisher387 They can make engines alright, the low output is due to oil crisis and climate hysteria. The original version of this engine is something like 380 hp, but it can easily be tuned to way more. And unlike old British engines, it lasts.

  • @bmgm3 Yeah unfortunately the old 440 ended up getting bogged down with smog because the EPA started cracking down. Another thing you may notice is the redline is pretty low too, the old American V8s from the factory weren't very good. With some work they could be MUCH better.

  • @bpowersman5000 I feel cheated. I just always thought that 7.2L would mean and easy 300bhp, if not easily 400bhp +. Even a early 3.5L Rover V8 made 150bhp, hell, even a 998 cc Mini engine made nearly 40 bhp per L in the late fifties. Seems like Mike should have ploughed all that cash into giving it a power hike.

  • @bmgm3 .. 7.2 aka 440 did have up to 390 horsepoer along high amounts of torque..Much of depended on camshaft, manifold and Carb choice.. I have personally seen then running 89 octane with well over 475 street horsepower..No blowers or turbos...Jenden ordered them for smooth running not tire shredding ...And the Jenson was a very heavy car..Must be a semi good motor of the last of the true British cars "Bristol" and "Gordon Keeble" used them a long time..Bristol still uses Chrysler Motors

  • @bmgm3 It was like that in the '70s. they were all busy trying to cut emissions, the cadillac 500 ci engine (8.2 litres) only made 190 bhp

  • @bmgm3 unfortunately the smog controls that went on all the but American engines really choked down power. If all that had been removed I am positive that engine would be more powerful.

  • @bmgm3 It can if it is a mid '70s detuned oil crisis engine.

  • Only 200 horsepower out of a 60's 440? Must have an incredibly restrictive intake/exhaust.

  • @toyrunner87 It did.

  • BTW that seller is an idiot, could easily have sold for 5500, probably desperate to sell though.

  • Is it me or is Mike Brewer a twat?

  • @volvomantom what do you expect, he sold used cars ;)

  • @volvomantom he is a freaking moron, can barely stand him. i watch the show just for edd.

  • Looks like its had a crap cheapo respray in its time.

  • Glad that I can see these, in the US they took it off HD Theater!

  • Didn't Mike used to have a showroom in Sutton or was it Epsom?

  • REXTON RULEZ PMSL,The Jensens always look like they sag at the arse end

  • REXTON RULEZ PMSL

  • must be English, looks like pure scrap

  • Finally mike isn't driving a Chinese piece of trash anymore. Ed is the real star anyway

  • Wow...Mike found a Jensen Intacepta Mock Free!

  • Finally new episodes from Mike and Edd :) It's just a shame that there's only 5 episodes but they are recorded this year

  • The dodge 440 is capable of 500 very reliable hp. with a simple cam , carburetor and muffler change. The bottom end on those 440's is legendary. So no need to mess with rods ,crank ,pistons. Stock heads ,high lift cam, dual mufflers and a carter 1040 carburetor, that motor would double it's HP.

  • Pretty good he knocked off a little over three grand US off the price...

  • Wow! Mike upgraded from a Ssangyong to a Land Rover Disco 4.

  • its a rust bucket

  • Finally Mike got a nice car

  • that's one ugly car who ever said jensen with bently and aston is an asshole

  • WHY in the name of all that is holy would anyone buy a car like this!?! uggly as a baboons ass, rusty....my god!

  • @klassetompa, tell me how on the planet you've found this car ugly? It has a badass and unique shape, amazing sounding engine and it is possibly the first muscle car that to come out of the Europe (I'm talking about the first models). And yes it's rusty because it's enough AGED to be rusted you fuckwit, it's not a fucking Audi but c'mon you don't have to be a total assload to not realize that.

  • @Dragsteryourself You have a good point, however, the estetics does not attract me, but cool car never the less! cheers.

  • 200HP out of a 7.2 L v8? WTF? but mind you, 0-60 under 7 secs in really good.

  • @VOLVORULEZ1995 Nah, its 335HP by 1972, but the older ones from 67-70 had 350 or 375, at least stock out of Chrysler. I don't know what Jensen did with the motors after they got them. My 4200 lb(1905kg) New Yorker would do 0-60 in 7 seconds stock, so it was a powerful engine, except all I did was put gas in the thing.

  • @Gazdatronik I take it you live in America? Just that the English word for gas is Petrol, I envy the fact that you have one, but in a good way, because you own a car that is really nice.

  • @VOLVORULEZ1995 It was quite an enjoyable car, unfortunately I had to sell it off 5 years ago, 8-11 MPG was not feasible since I was out of work. I had the chance to buy it back 2 months ago, but I had my fun, and did not want to repeat the same mistake.

To be honest, a very small car or truck appeals to me, like the Bedford Rascal or Suzuki Cappuccino. Of course, they don't sell city cars here in the states, so I may have to settle for a Miata. Still not bad, though.

  • @Gazdatronik Seriously? most cars in the U.K are designed now to get around 74-80 MPG, mind you the car my family has only gets around 21 MPG tops.

  • @VOLVORULEZ1995 Oh yes, very serious. Mine was from 1968, and Gas was so cheap that nobody cared how much it used, and was made up for with a 26 gallon tank, which sounds like a lot, but was empty every 320 miles or so!

America was a lot more careless about efficiency in the old days.

  • Does anyone have definite proof that the buying and selling of the cars is fake?

  • My dream car. Saw one on the road next to me last week. Lovely.

  • £1700 off without negotiating? Hmmm.... desperate times eh?

  • Crap, Mike got an Iphone. Not you too, mate.

  • @jmorris023 :( poor mike has been fooled

  • @nipperoid who cares!!! makes good TV!! ;)

  • @nipperoid mike IS a fool :D

  • That was probably the least believable 'sale' yet, hey?

  • Been waiting for this episode to appear...love the Interceptors. Thanks for uploading...only way us "Yanks" can see the newer epsodes...

  • Mike has finally got himself a proper set of wheels, thoroughbread English luxury SUV. Enough with the Ssang-Yyong or other cheap bullshit.

  • Thanks for the upload
