yeah the reason it works is because he starts off fast so the goalie is back peddaling and has a hard time going into a butterfly or getting his glove up in time. Plus it does help he has a cannon. Minnesota is sure going to miss him. Oh well Gaborik is a stud and Boogard will knock out some more teeth this year. I can't wait till they win the stanley cup!

I know it is weird to take a slap shot on a penalty shot but when your Brian Rolston and have an absolute cannon for a shot the idea isn't crazy

man goalies are gonna read that so quick after that..i mean who the fuck takes a slapper in a hootout its so dumb but thats why it works. Soon goalies will reqad ita and he'll have to get someting else so that when they anticipate the slap he can fake it and then go backhand upstairs or something lol.

Incredible shot. The thing is, if Rolston would have missed it, everyone would have said:"What a waste". Fortunatly he got it and everyone says :"OMG! Awesome" ;) But I must admit, nice shot. :D
