if they continued with the same style of music people would say its the smae thing over and over, if they change the style people complain. Can there be one time when people dont complain on what a band is doing, if you like it great if you don't then that music isnt for you. Its just like linkin park how they went from hybrid theory to a thousand suns, "fans" kept complaining on how they changed but if they stayed the same style fans would get bored of hearing the same thing over and over again

Good job dino, you broke so many cymbals in the past that Zildjian said they'd stop endorsing you if you continued. Look what you did to yourself, you sound like Meg White now.
Sometimes all I want to listen to is something poppy. Now I have a dredg album that fills that need. Its probably their worst album, but that doesn't mean a whole lot given the fact that they've put out two of the best albums of the past decade. They've just created music to match about every mood I could have. Bravo.

Been a fan of Dredg for years, but I just cannot get into their new cd. They sound kind of tired and lifeloss on this cd. Even the ornament is worse than the Fillmore recording. Seeing them tonight though, so hopefully they will still be awesome live.
I think fans understand the nature of Dredg and that they experiment. Its just that, this stuff really isn't a joy to listen to. If the music had been different AND actually good, it'd be fine. But this all sounds incredibly empty and reaching; at least, it would seem from comments that most people are feeling that way. I do *shrug*
i have to commend them for trying something new and different for them, but yes, this lacks the same spark that i have come to know as Dredg. The drums are laking and it sounds like club music now. Just a bit disappointed in what I have heard so far.
Dino is playing his normal kit live. These new songs sound so much better with live drumming. But then again Dredg has always sounded better live. I like the new album. Better than pretty much anything else I have heard this year.
@theazzman1 It's OK, this IS real Dredg, because real Dredg unabashedly experiments with EVERYTHING <3 However, I do understand some people not being too keen on this particular record..it may be a one-off for them, who knows? ;)

If this is the worst song on the album I don't think I'll be particularly disappointed.
