I'd say if noobs are asking about adding gas to this build... Instead of making 1,000 racks make only 8,000 and use those minerals on refining gas... And if your making that many marines you'd probably not want to do it against protoss. It's probably best against zerg, since they're marine eating unit is ultras & they have attack at zero range... still sounds like a bad idea though

@superpowergod Scan. I tried this build against a Protoss that tried going Dark Templar, and by the time he got 4 of them in my base, I had 4 Orbitals. All I needed to do was wait until I had the energy, move a small clutch of Marines in, scan, and clean house.

@ciscoleon you don't really want to aim for a specific number, just keep going thru the priority list: scvs/supply depots/expos, then use the rax you have, then if you have money left over, build more rax, repeat. worrying too much about how many rax you have or need won't help and it could hurt... if you can use the ones you have constantly and still have money, you need more, if not, you don't need more :P

@AznThypot i know that, i just feel like you will never actually be able to do this vs a decent player, even if you had a decent unit composition. i might be weird but i'm bronze and i always put on early pressure and don't let people just macro to 5 bases, i contain players so they can't do things like this.

i can't why this works, i'm bronze, and i can max out at 14 minutes in games if someone doesn't put on pressure, and i can also have better unit composition. as soon as i scouted this, i feel like i could push and win. also, if it's a tvt they are going to have seige tanks, and i don't think that marines will break a siege tank wall no matter how many you have. just what i see though.

very very good drill. This is my build now. I add stuff to it, but the base build is exactly 2 bases at 10:00 and 3 to 5 b 12:00 to 14:00.

I get gas once I have two bases, catching up quickly on gas b/c I have 4 geysers.

On a 2v2 team is it worth it to try to get some early pressure with this or better to just get to 200 then wait for them to show up?

@305kc depends on your ally, but a 5rax mineral only marine push right before 6 minutes is pretty common and deadly 2v2 opening... of course that isn't the point of the drill, but its useful info.

I tried this out the other day and I was quite impressed with what I was able to do. I have literally only won two ladder games >.>, pretty pathetic I know =P. Probably going to give it a try in some ladder matches and see how I do. Thanks again =).
