@newscaster13 They briefly tried transitioning to "ABC7" shortly after they went HD. It never got beyond being called that in promos and it didn't last. I personally think the Denver's 7 branding is fine.
@videonut33 and what about KMGH's sister station KGTV in San Diego?
They are being called ABC10, while the news branding is 10NEWS.
If KMGH's sister station (in San Diego) can pull of the ABC channel number, so can Channel 7 in Denver; even though KGTV and KMGH are not owned by ABC.
@newscaster13 I know. But not every non-o&o does not have to pull off a mandated moniker. Some do the mandated route (Like KGTV, An McGrawHill station), while other stations (KMGH included, same owners as KGTV) are satisfied with their own moniker, even the stations that are top of their ratings. Just because the logo shows it, some stations could verbally mandate the moniker just like the logo. Some may choose not to. No offense.
They duplicate the time/temp bug, what? I really thing they shouldn't blow up the whole 1/6 of the screen down there with that unnecessary ticker space.
@hkfreak I think that's something new because I've never seen them shrink the main video for the ticker ever since they went HD. They must've forgotten about the time and temp, though it was fixed within about ten minutes.
Ugh! I hate KMGH's station branding "DENVER'S 7"
It reminds me of KWGN's old moniker DENVER'S 2 before and after the switch to the WB network in 1995 (Denver WB2)
I would be much better off with KMGH being called ABC7

@newscaster13 KMGH is NOT an ABC O&O. They don't have that "ABC7" mandate. They tried it. But not all time.
"Denver's Seven" sounds more original.

I know there's an ABC channel number for KTVX in Salt Lake City, Utah (ABC 4 News).
