CBL have produced a number of excellent songs, but for me, this one will always be their #1. The feelings that this brings about inside of me are just very mysterious and special.
@burt2800 The MOS Technology 6581/8580 SID (Sound Interface Device) is the built-in Programmable Sound Generator chip of Commodore's CBM-II, Commodore 64, Commodore 128 and Commodore MAX Machine home computers. It was one of the first sound chips of its kind to be included in a home computer prior to the digital sound revolution.
This band has something nobody has, they make you glance into the deep heart of rhythm rooted in the universe, dive into the collective unconscious in which to find rest, peace and tranquility. Meditation insights and crystal dreams of pure water is what I recall listening to their songs
This music cures stress. But its weird that all my friends call this music 'gay' and boring. They don't understand I guess. Its frustrating but whatever
For the people that like Ambient/Chillout music, please check my latest song "Psyrius - Frozen". I have 10 years of experience, but I still find it hard to reach out to as many people as I would like. I don't usually ask for this, but if you enjoy my music, please thumbs up this comment so other people can see. You could make my dream come true. Please support a hardworking artist :)
Listening to this track makes me feel perfect... makes me fly away to the stars... out of this universe.. out of this world.... and only police alarm turns me back to the mother earth. Just awesome feelings.
The most beautiful thing I found in youtube is that in the comments of ambient music videos people don't care about dislike and never say offensive things. All we need is love
What makes Carbon Based Lifeforms so different to everyone else? For months I've been searching for something similar to satiate my yearning for music like CBL, but to no avail. Asura, Bluetech, Aes Dana, Solar Fields etc., it just isn't the same.... Are they that unique there is nothing comparable to them?
@Trentyboi Because they're the best in this genre, it's hard to find anything else like it. Have you tried Tycho? Let's just say if CBL is space, then Tycho is water.
I love CBL music but I really think there needs to be like a CBL Alternative version made for certain activities. For the lot load CBL sounds great for sleeping or getting ready to slow down for the day but then drum beats enter.....grrrr I'll see if I can make my own version of CBL using sound forge loops and also would edit teh loudness so it does not get overly loud. At volume three I should not have to turn down the volume to sleep! LOL
CBL are one of the most amazing ambient electronic groups out there. If you have not listened to this with good headphones while going to sleep, you do not know the meaning of the word "relaxation." Those few dislikes must have came from some crazy motherfuckers all wigged out on speed. Just relax fellas and take another listen.
There's not many songs I continually revisit, but this is one of them. Made an instant impact upon me and continues to do so. These guys know how to turn music into something else, something undefinable.
Royksopp - The Fear is Deus Ex sounding too, also search for "Granny's Spaghetti 3kliksphilip" on youtube for 3 songs that definitely have a Deus Ex sound to them.
@MartianManhunter1987 downtempo, mainly if u search for " Psychill" or "Psybient" u will find a whole lot of similar artists..heard CBL for the first time in Goa beach vol 5
@AryaSravaka psybient? i've never heard the genre or parts of the genre called that. i'd consider it more ambient/electronica/newwave. but i'll try searching your psybient and see what i get. the more the merrier.

@TamedShadow dont be so rude about 'drugs', it's all about the person who takes em! or tell that to some old native-american shaman and he will laugh his ass off u know.. but i perfectly match with your opinion about typing every single impression in youtube, folks, there are better places to be whilst on a voyage than the internet! just enjoy the music and better share the feeling of being connected! ;) =))) peace
@TamedShadow im not trying to troll you, just want to give some food for thought. All things being equal, who's to say that you know better than them? Life is 100% edited and interpreted for your perspective, you can't get around the way your own unique past allowed you to grow mentally and independently of others. Now being that everyone's view on life is entirely based on their own perspective of it; how can anyone ever tell another what the right way to live their own life is?
@sunslastphase I admire your opposition, and I do believe that there is no sense of 'right' and 'wrong'. There is, indeed, problems that people can avoid; but persist to keep promoting that problem as if it wasn't a problem. When clearly it is a problem. When everything you say can be contradicted--when everything you say can be shut-down by an answer that is as whole as a hole can be.. You realise that your 'opinion' is nothing but a blanket statement that is nothing compared to an 'answer'.
I love so much this composition... I am new in the world of electronic music, never listened to it before. This piece moves me so much. Any suggestion of something like this one? I heard south china sea, and it was really good, I listend to the "World of Sleepers" album, I've listened to "interloper"... I also like Kyoto - Forest Trip and Aural float - The Deep
@MarkShadowWolf Check out Boards of Canada. They are by far my favorite chill electronic band. Songs similar to this: Left side Drive (masterpiece if you listen closely) - Satellite anthem icarus - In a beautiful place out in the country - Dayvan Cowboy - 5.9.78 - last walk around mirror lake - macquarie ridge - hey saturday sun - buckie high...just to name a few. Some of these are obscure and hard to find for purchase, but all are on youtube.
@TheN1nj4 I think it is a phenomena that happens when a tune is so effin SICK it just seems incomprehensible to some that a person would actually make an effort to dislike it.
sky high right now, bout 10000000080348 feet up, smoked some good green. god this musical masterpeice really just allows you to stop thinking about EVERYTHING in life and it just takes you somewhere beautiful

MartianManhunter1987 7 months ago
@MartianManhunter1987 To a Mongol, horses represent not only wealth and status,
They provide food and transportation.
To clearly see the Mongol's almost mythic relationship
With the horse just watch a horse race
The jockeys are children
The race course can be as long as 30 kilometers.
Magic powers are attributed to the winning horse
And spectators scramble to touch it
Hoping some will rub off.
Magic powers are attributed to the winning horse
