Dubstep's origins lies in (UK) experimental garage, 2-step (garage) and Dub. of which both 2-step and Dub have their origins from reggae. None of the people that created and/or innovated dubstep (it's original form) had any relations to electronic. Benga, Skream, Richie Hawtin (platikman/plastician), Coki, Caspa, Mala etc. Just check them up, they've never made electronic
